Root was done.
Phone booted KINGROOT missing.
Tried system app remover and it says "phone is rooted but i did not grant access"
Installed supersu and it said "binary occupied"
Installed alternative supersu that fixes that problem, and it failed to update binary.
Any ideas why kingroot was missing ?
G900V i never had this problem on my other 3 phones i rooted with this method.
SOLVED by repeating the process.
I also allowed unknown sources just in case this time. WHo knows
Hi, my S5 died recently and as such am nolonger supporting my S5 development, I will not anylonger support this older out of date root method either, sorry
i have a us cellular and Verizon galaxy s5.
the Verizon has no display
so I was prepping my us cellular galaxy s5 (android 6.01, rooted with twrp).
I made it so I had complete control over it so when I removed the display it would still work with adb over wifi and screen sharing with "scrcpy" from my windows laptop.
problem is I broke the screen while removing it from the us cellular for the Verizon s5
with the Verizon s5 on stock android 5.0 using the pb1 firmware is where im at.
is there anyway I can get odin to flash something where I can get adb over usb without using the touchscreen of the phone?
one click root and twrp/safestrap?
I wish I could just copy my entire us cellular galaxy s5 over to the Verizon s5 as the us cellular is working perfect with no screen
basically want to the Verizon s5 to behave the same way the us cellular does with no screen but the Verizon is not rooted and no custom recovery
im not sure if I have the 15 digit or 11 digit emmc but I would be willing to try the 15 digit even if it trashes my phone.
the laptop running windows 10 and odin 3.10.6 sees it and that's how I flashed pb1.
the hardware keys on the Verizon do work
any help would be appreciated. basically just having fun with the Verizon. nothing to lose
Scrolling through and have found nothing new on us version able to root. Found a old xda post from a year ago saying it can't be done. Any update on this?
