I have enabled debugging, and have tried different ports. Must've gone over every detail about 6 times total. For now, I just flashed back to factory. Will try again in a few hours if I get some decent replies..
Make sure the phone is unpluged after you flash the NI2 kernel close odin open the ROOT_G900V_5.0.bat plug your phone in. It takes a couple of minutes once it starts the root process starts

what am I doing wrong? I have the driver installed... i try running the bat file and it doesn't recognize my phone (WAITING FOR APPEAR YOUR DEVICE N900V)... still i opened odin and installed the 01_G900V_NI2_Kernel file and it was successful, then tried once again to run the bat and got the same problem...

had to reinstall the stock rom to make it work again...

what am I doing wrong?

If it doesnt reconize the phone leave the ROOT_G900V_5.0.bat open unplug the phone and plug into a different port on the computer

How long is a couple of minutes?

Having factory flashed once more, the first time I run the .bat, it fails with multi errors about the device not being present. This first failure does not trigger a reboot of my phone.

I flash the new kernel, and follow all your instructions to the T, however, once I get the the step with the .bat, once again:

ROOT INSTALLING NOW... forever..

Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Thank you so much for this!
Forgive me, I seemed to have run into a problem it seems.
Everything went well just as the instructions state; however, the phone rebooted into recovery.
-I got to step 17, pulled the battery, but when attempting to reboot into download mode, it automatically goes into Android system recovery.
I tried "reboot system now" and "power down" but I end up in recovery again.

On reboot, in the top left corner it says "recovery booting"
Then, briefly the little android dude with his chest open, then it goes into recovery.
Any suggestions?

Thank you so much for this, as well as, anyone who can help! (So sorry if this is a noob error)

Not sure if these images uploaded correctly, however these are the two problems I encounter. INSTALLING ROOT NOW will hang forever. I've clocked it at over 20 minutes.

These images are in reverse order. The bottom image is what happens pre odin, and the hangup is post odin

Mine did same thing when I did it and freaked out as well. Only took me twice to quickly do the buttons for download mode to come up again.
I rooted BOG5. Can I install VZW_BOK3_STOCK_ROM_DEODEXED.zip over this or do I need to do a BOG5 only?

BOK3 should be fine. I will make some firmware zips for people that dont have older bootloaders

Anyone having this problem?

KingRoot: "Root strategy unavailable - no strategy now"
SuperSU me: "Preparing environment, please wait" (been this way for an hour or more maybe?)
(oe1)
Thank you everyone for your help and time!

in mine i didnt install supersu i just installed kinguser and its working fine
Thank you so much for your reply and help! Unfortunately, that didn't seem to work for me as busybox would not install with this message: "There was a problem opening the shell...device is improperly rooted...etc etc"

Also, Rootchecker couldn't verify too, unfortunately. (oe1)
I followed all the instructions and everything went smoothly. So, not sure what to do next or maybe simply start over and try again?

EDIT: RESOLVED

Forgive me everyone! I made a mistake at instruction line 15; I was on Samsung boot screen for too long it went into recovery and I seemingly missed that step. Can confirm working perfectly on OE1 ROOT!!!!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!
Thanks to everyone in this community and to all the hard working devs and of course huge thanks to jrkruse!!!
