I've had my Frost 64GB for about two weeks. Coming from an N5 this phone has been a revelation. The build quality is excellent, it feels really nice to hold and looks fantastic, I especially love the contrast between the white body and the black camera bar. This is the first phone I've had with an amoled display and I'm very impressed with its deep blacks and colour saturation. Battery life has been great for me, it lasts all day with moderate to heavy usage. The only niggle is the sheer size of the phone, other than having to choose which jeans to wear based on pocket depth I couldn't be happier with my purchase. For me, its absolute perfection!
Yes I greatly agree with you, plus the camera is kind of laggy sometimes and the video isn't 60 fps which is pretty noticeable.

Hi there,
I have a Samsumg Galaxy S6 and really want to switch to the Nexus 6p,
I'm only worried about the possibility of having the infamous amoled burn in because of the on screen navigation keys, I wish there was a simple way to hide these bottons in certain apps, like the option you can find in the LG V10,
By the way, I keep my S6 on auto brightness and the slider is always on the minimum,
would you please share your experience regarding this possible issiue, or the whole upgrading from the S6 to the N6p,
.

Thank you so very much guys I really appreciate your time.

Why worry about the on screen nav keys when you have at the top the clock and various icons always showing and prone to burn in? I wouldn't worry that much.

If I was you, I would worry more by NOT dropping the phone!!

In that case, you should try using GMD Immersive app on the play store. Root is not needed. It's what I use to hide the nav bars and upper notification area. Glitchy on some apps but still better than nothing.

Hello Valued Customer

This is the best Android phone I've ever used.
Hello js1999,

Thank you so much for choosing the Nexus 6P! We're humbled to hear that the 6P is the best Android phone you'e ever used. (ED)

---------- Post added at 01:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:19 AM ----------

Yeah, it's pretty close to the best Android phone I've ever used. It is the full package: battery life, performance, camera, software. Only problem I'm finding is that after a week of use, I'm running into bugs with the camera, Bluetooth, and calls. I'm sure these will be fixed in an upcoming software update.
Hello svetius,

We appreciate your comment on the Nexus 6P. We're happy to hear that the 6P is the best Android phone you've ever used. Things like the battery life, performance, camera, and software is something we're very proud of on the device and we're glad you're enjoying those things as well.

We're terribly sorry to hear that you're running into issues with the camera, calls, and Bluetooth. What we can recommend is turning off your phone for 15-20 seconds. This should refresh your device and troubleshoot your camera issue.

If you're having trouble receiving or making calls, it is a possibility that it is a carrier issue. Especially if you're noticing that it's in certain spots then we recommend contacting your service provider.

If you're having trouble connecting Bluetooth devices to your phone then we recommend forgetting the Bluetooth devices on your phone and turning off your 6P for 15-20 seconds. After you turn the Nexus back on, please reconnect your Bluetooth devices. (ED)

Best phone I've owned. I just enjoy picking it up and using it.
Hello y2whisper,

IMO its a 9 out of 10. Camera has been great for me, battery life fits my daily usage perfectly (never been in power saving mode) and I only charge over night. Bright screen with no color issues to my eyes, fast performance with all the apps and games I use.

Most of my problems are simply due to me not adjusting to the placement of things on the phone yet. I have a tendency to power the phone off when trying to adjust the volume, and lowering the volume when playing certain games.

The only true "issue" I am having is the phone has powered off and rebooted on me 3 times since I got it. I don't know if it is going to be an issue, but it is annoying when it happens in the middle of a task I am trying to complete.
Hello dafababa,

We appreciate your feedback on the Nexus 6P.

We're terribly sorry to hear that you're having difficulties with your 6P.

We'll forward your comments about the button placement and rebooting issue to our development team as we're always looking to improve our products. (ED)

Hello vido.ardes,

We appreciate your feedback on the Nexus 6P!

Thank you for calling the device the best phone you've ever used. (ED)

---------- Post added at 01:52 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:49 AM ----------

I consider it more of a desktop phone. I now really use it for so much more than a phone. And the battery life over my Nexus 5 is not even comparable.
Hello RickInHouston,

Thank you for choosing the Nexus 6P! One of our goals at Huawei was to create a device that our customers could use for more than just a phone. (ED)

---------- Post added at 01:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:52 AM ----------

Easily the best phone I've ever used. A week in and not a single issue yet.
Hello AndrasLOHF,

We appreciate that you took the time to leave a comment on the Nexus 6P.

Here at Huawei, we're happy when our customers are happy. To hear that one of our customers called the 6P "easily the best phone" they've used is humbling. (ED)

Get used to using LMT Launcher and you'll hate having the nav keys. LMT is awesome.

Thank you so very much guys for helping me make my decision, got the Nexus 6P, its absolutely a beast of a phone, the user experience is amazing compared to my Galaxy S6,
unfortunately my 6P has the infamous pink hue and its on the upper half only :(
and Huawei dealer in my country won't let me exchange it for another unit :(
Guess I have to live with that. looks like getting an almost perfect screen is rare nowadays,
Regarding "hiding the on screen buttons", I am using Power toggles' "immersive mode"
LMT sounds great but apparently needs root and I am not that much of a pro :)

Best regrads

Don't need to be a pro to root a Nexus device. It's super easy. Just follow Heisenberg's guide in the general section if you want to root.

you can use KCAL calibrator or Kernel Auditor (both require root i believe) just root the 6p will be more fun for you.
then you can get rid of the pink/yellow hue you dislike and turn your 6p pure white.

i have a question for you other folks, are both 6p models (ninA1 and ninA2) unlocked and work with every GSM carrier?

International variant doesn't work on some U.S. bands and the U.S. version doesn't work with some international bands. You would have to look up the bands specifically for each area for more info.

Thank you so very much that'd be awesome, just watched a clip on YouTube on how Kcal works!
Unfortunately my 6p's screen isn't uniform though, it's more pinkish on the top half and more yellowish on the bottom half .
:(
It's not that bad though , only visible on white or light grey backgrounds .
Thank you guys!

Hello Uristocles, we appreciate your comment on the Nexus 6P. We're glad you like your device. (ED)

Nexus 6p owner coming from Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus, yadeya...

The good:
Hardware: Really nice, premium build. If I'm being honest, I find it a touch slippy in the hand and I'm quite worried about dropping the damn thing, but I'm hoping a case will make this better...once it arrives!
Performance: Excellent. Zero lag, zero slow down.
Battery: Coming from the Nexus 5, it's really good. This was actually my primary reason for buying this over the Nexus 5x - bigger phone == more room for battery, and so far this shows. Today has been a light-use day, to be fair, but still sat at 76% at 8pm is just awesome. My Nexus 5 wouldn't do that well even if I didn't use it all day...in flight mode...switched off. Exceptionally happy here.
Stability: Have had the phone for 7 days, uptime: 7 days. Nuff said.
Camera: Too early to say, but I don't think it's quite as great as everyone says it is. There's still no way in the app to do manual control (e.g. shutter priority for capturing pictures of fast moving objects) so the results still look, well, like they've been taken with a phone. That's not to say it's bad - it's certainly better than the Nexus 5, which was leagues better than the Nexus 4 - it's just...average. Give us some manual control, Google! Lens Blur still takes great shots and it's very responsive, so I would give it a B at the moment, with scope for more in future.

The only elephant in the room is the size. OK, so this isn't the phone's fault and I knew what I was getting, but don't kid yourself that it's anything other than a big phone. I picked up my old N5 the other day and, frankly, it still feels the "right" size for a phone. Oh well, I guess we'll have to see how things go here...

Over all, it's a great phone :)
Hello daern,
Purchasing a protective case is the best way to prevent the phone from slipping out of your hands. We typically recommend that our customers get a case as accidents do happen.

Our team has worked very hard to put an exceptional battery in the phone that also has excellent performance. We're glad you're pleased on those fronts.

Your camera option suggestion is great one and this is why we read as many of our customers' comments we can. We'll definitely take your feedback into consideration as we're always looking to improve our products. (ED)

---------- Post added at 07:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:39 PM ----------

I ordered the phone yesterday and got it about 3pm today. I set it up, played with it for about an hour and thought " this isn't so special". I threw it back in the box and decided I wasn't decided on keeping it. I left it at my mom's house, went home and played around on my Note 5 for 10 mins and ran back to the Nexus. :D
The title was supposed to say unboxed not unbound
Hello B_I_N_G_E, thank you for choosing the Nexus 6P. Sometimes a second look is what you need. We're glad to have you on Team Huawei! (ED)

---------- Post added at 08:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:56 PM ----------

Easily the best Android phone I've ever used. The combination of battery life, performance, screen quality, build quality, Camera, quick charge, Verizon compatibility, stock Android, hackability, Marshmallow features, speakers, quick fingerprint sensor, first-to-get-updates and just a general smooth experience, make this phone a TOTAL WIN.

Only wish it had SD card expansion! That's like the only thing, to me, it's missing.

I am REALLY LOVING this phone experience! It's FANTASTIC. Instant recommendation to friends. :)
Hello Eloquence, we appreciate your positive comment on the Nexus 6P. Your feedback about the 6P needing an expandable memory will definitely be forwarded to our development team. (ED)

oh crap man.. i am worried that you have a lemon screen :(

i have also screen issue on my 2014 model of the nexus , nexus 6.

my issue is that it shows kind of vertical bar ,very visible on solid backgrounds. (i am using the nexus 6 with defected screen).

i am worried your screen is also defected, did you try to Root and Putting a Rom on it ? please check on it to see if that will fix your issue..

what your saying is that bottom and upper parts the hue is different from each other ,that sounds so awful..

hi guys, I am currently on a ip6 and am ready to get a new phone. was considering between 6p and s7e, but leaning towards the 6p because of latest updates (especially with the new N coming out) and stock android with 0 bloatwares.

but android is known for its bad snapchat image quality and i am a heavy snapchat user, can anyone using the 6p share with me their experience with snapchat on 6p? the quality difference between iphone and android snapchat is huge as from what I see from my friends but the s7e is doing fine, good quality.

but I heard that the next nexus phone is coming out in 2-3 months time, would it be better to wait for it?

Because s7 is bloated, gets slow over time, and has minimal dev support because of all the lockdown?
I sold my S6 just for these similar reasons...
this is why i am contemplating between s7 and 6p, battery life is important to me though.. i don't mind bringing out a portable but it's much more preferred to use my phone without any worries of having no juice to get me through the day.
