Yeah, it's pretty close to the best Android phone I've ever used. It is the full package: battery life, performance, camera, software. Only problem I'm finding is that after a week of use, I'm running into bugs with the camera, Bluetooth, and calls. I'm sure these will be fixed in an upcoming software update.
he mad...

Just picked up a 6p yesterday. Loving it. Not impressed with the pixel phones. This should do me just fine for awhile till new phones come out next year.
haha you fell for the meme like i did you are in for a big surprise, the phone sucks
it has MAJOR issues with the microphone noise cancellation software , hope you do not plan on using it to talk on
hope you do not expect more than 2.2 hours of SOT or more than 20 hour standby

U mad tho?!!

Next time you plan to buy a phone make sure you contact the manufacturer and email them this type of groundbreaking, informative and positive feedback 'cause here at XDA we don't know what to do with it!

No more ranting using excessive * symbols, please. Hope you took a breather and feel better soon.

Cheers,

i did actually it was like talking to a wall they will not acknowledge any of the issues but i do not blame huawei for most of these problems i blame google for their crappy software and support but at least they spoke fluent English i was not actually expecting that, the only thing i can say about the hardware being bad is the god awful display
the phone is not even useable out of doors even on a cloudy day because the brightness is so poor even at full brightness

the only way this device is even useable is if you do not plan on ever taking it outside
because the screen is so horrible in daylight and because you have to edit your build prop to completely disable the noise cancellation software to even make a phone call on it which makes even the slightest breeze sound like a hurricane
and if you need to use it for more than 2.5 hours you are going to need to be tethered to AC because the battery performance is so poor
it is a great looking and feeling phone and i love the stereo speakers and the design and i really wanted to like this device but it is a rip off and it is an unusable POS plain and simple, not at all practical for doing anything with except for sitting in a darkened room next to an outlet and web browsing or consuming media or light gaming
also it gets hot when doing absolutely nothing but using chrome, sometimes it even gets hot when the screen is off for no apparent reason i can feel it heating up in my pocket

if you are a 500lb neckbeard who never leaves your couch or your bed and you do not care about making voice calls then i would recommend, but otherwise no stay away

Man, some folks hate this phone. It's always been great for me. Since I had to trade in my gd explosive Note 7 I'm rocking this with Nougat and it's fantastic. You know it will get some of the pixel features whether from Google or devs, that's a given. Great phone.

One of my few small gripes, slow HDR processing seems to have been greatly improved. Thumbs up!

why can't google just do what apple does i would have been happier if instead of the pixel which is ugly and generic looking and removes stereo speakers ,they just kept the nexus name and released a phone with the same outward design of the 6p but with better internals and bug fixes, with an 820, triple the battery life ,double the screen brightness, a fixed microphone ,OIS, and an SD slot and also an IR blaster
all they do is remove remove remove, useful features and add ones nobody cares about
they are out of touch with reality and what users want this is why they always fail this is why glass was a failure because these dip****s are so up their own asses they think they know what we want but in reality they know absolutely ****all
they keep removing features and upping their prices ,all of these manufacturers do it now but google is becoming the worst
and jesus christ just stick with one manufacturer instead of going from motorolla to huawei to HTC to this one to that one
stop wasting time and money on totally redesigning everything from the ground up every damn year it makes no sense just pick one design and then improve on it,pick one manufacturer or build it yourself or sub it out directly to a foxconn like everyone else why do they need a middle man like HTC or huawei or motorolla anyways?probably because they just use them for customer support because google refuses to ever provide any themselves

i bought this phone thinking i could use it as my daily driver and use it for ubering
but i can not, because the screen is so poor on it that there is absolutely no way you see a ****ing thing on it in the daytime even if i put illegal tiny on my car and wore white gloves to avoid getting the screen dirty(because the slightest mark makes the visibly go from 2% down to 0 ) i could still never use this phone in the car during the day ,the phone is 100% useless in any kind of daylight at any hour of any day even on cloudiest day and it cant make voice calls how can anyone deal with ****? not to mention the abhorrent battery life

How is battery life compared to the Note 7?

I just bought a 6P on Swappa last night for a good price and I'm super excited for it. I've wanted one since it released but couldn't afford to buy it outright. I've never bought a used phone so I'm hoping the battery life is close to what it would be new, and that the battery life is comparable to the Note. I absolutely love the Note 7 so it's a shame it's been discontinued. That said, I loved my Nexus 6 and I regretted trading it for the S6 Edge. I can't wait to have stock Android again.

I got better life on the whole with my Note but I'm one of those people use their phone radically different and then charge at end of day. The Note had a ton more processes going on but seemed more efficient in screen usage etc. So note better, but the Nexus isn't awful. There's so much you can do with this phone they're very different. Don't sleep on the camera, while slower it's caught me photos in the same league.

Yup. Woke up this morning to the Google Assistant which is supposed to be on the Pixel XL because now part of my phone thinks it's a Pixel. This is such a great
FORUM! I love my 6P even more now that it's an ATT wifi hotspot and a Pixel XL!

También había que decirlo en español, es el mejor teléfono que he tenido en mi existencia, aún no encuentro uno de los actuales que sea digno de reemplazarlo.

Well. My device didn't make it a year. Emmc chip fried last night. After flashing multiple different stock images and many attempts at using different boot images and recovery. Device won't do anything except bootloop. On complete stock it won't boot recovery. Using fastboot boot twrp.img results in bootloop. It's toast. Kind of disappointed it did not last a year. I'm all ready getting a Pixel xl instead. The higher price tag and being made by HTC will hopefully result in a much better device this year. I did really like the 6p though. RIP.

I just purchased my Nexus 6P about a week ago sqeaking baby fresh new. Could have gotten the Pixel XL for the specs, am just not a fan of how it looks. And I am a major HTC fanboy, from the Windows Mobile days.

I'm extremely happy with Nexus 6P. At this moment its the best device. Snapdragon 810 is killa, especially on a stock Android. Feels so righteous I love the build. Dont need eye scanner yet, I still use a pin. Battery is a 3450MaH and that's great. Even after using the Nexus 6, Galaxy S7 edge, iP7S Plus. I'm so in love with my Nexus 6P, no other phone for me. SD card slot is a bummer, then u adapt.

So far, only two days in, and it's great. Best size screen and quality I've ever had, and same for the speakers.

I haven't got a fast charger yet which is frustrating and I'm still trying to customise all the subtleties of it but so far its great
