Just tried it for watching a movie. Those front firing speakers make a huge difference! I'll be travelling for work semi regularly so this is important to me now.

I have to try the dual sim + sd hack next :)

Edit:
Gotta say, this phone was awesome value! Still enjoying it. Overall it just works and I'm very happy so far.
If I were to nit pick about things, a bigger battery would be better. Coming from Mate 7, I'm used to 4100MAh of range.
The Dolby Atmos app is pretty crap. I use ViPER4Android in the Mate 7 and I am missing the fine controls. The Atmos app is quite hit and miss with adjustment and no indication of any frequencies but I'll get over it. Once I have it how I want, I won't be playing with it. Fine tune in Poweramp instead.
The power app is probably an issue for many owners but being used to the Mate 7 which has the same sort of thing, I know the pitfalls.

I was concerned the camera could be an issue from reading on this forum but so far it works fine for my needs. I installed snap camera HD and that works well for specific uses at work. I install it in any of my phones. Best overall camera app I've found.

I am planning to buy this as a r refurbished phone. Will it be a good idea, especially in this late 2017 ?

(One of the reasons for buying this one is because of its custom rom developments and SD 820)

I've had mine for about a month. Originally had a Galaxy S5, then went on to an Honor 5x which I ran a custom ROM. In December I bought an Alcatel Idol 4s, which has basically the same specs as the Axon 7 - Qualcomm 820, front speakers, rear fingerprint sensor, AMOLED display. I tried to like it but the lack of apps really frustrated me. Also the fingerprint sensor didn't work very well, only about 40% of the time would it recognize my fingerprint on the first try. The Axon 7 is thee best phone I've had and I'm really enjoying it.

My first ZTE and I still have it. Awesome speakers ;)
I use a ZTE AXON 10 Pro now.
ZTE AXONs are great :)
I use my Axon 7 as a second phone now. I find it to be incredibly durable, in fact indestructible. How would you compare the build quality of the Axon 7 vs 10 Pro?
