Yes you can install Viper4android. I'm using it on my 3T just now as a Magisk module. I've also had it installed as a stand alone mod so it works fine.
As for what you're looking for, yes the 3T will be great for you, its super fast and smooth and has great dev support, it really is like the old Nexus Phones. The display and camera annoy me but there's no other phones out today that have the specs for the price and dev support of the 3T.
Thank you for your very informative details on the OPO3T, I believe that I'm gonna go all in and get the 128gb,with the bamboo DBrand Skin, and the package with the headphones and all the works. If the headphones are good, not the v2s but the higher end ones IYO, are they worth it?

I don't know, I've never used the earphones or headphones. :)

You cant help but feel the love for the OnePlus3T in the threads I have read, and in the many reviews I have read & watched.
I'm in a dilemma between the OnePlus 3T and the Huawei Mate 9 tbh. I owned the One+1 way back and I liked it, but grew bored of it from what I can remember but it was still a bargain back then.
Cost necessarily is not my main attraction, although when you have a phone at a bargain price with great specs and great reviews, its usually a good buy.
I'm presently using an Elephone P9000, its done its job (to a point) but I'm wanting to move onto a more "reputable" brand - the p9000 is cool enough, Elephone itself is terrible. I feel OnePlus seemed to listen to their buyers, which is always a good starting point and the OnePlus 3T is a nice looking phone.
I know the camera is not as good as it should be from what I've noticed in reviews, but tbh the P9000's is awful - so I guess for me it'll be a massive improvement
Two things pretty important for my needs are a accurate / fast GPS and a good dual sim support - is the GPS good on the OnePlus 3T? If you use a dual sim - how well does the dual sim work in the phone ?
Any feedback appreciated ;0)

Hy. I have a question. Is worth to change my s7 edge with the oneplus 3t?
Definitely maybe [emoji39]

Depends on how much you are using camera because it really is the only major drawback in 3T vs S7E.
Of course display and IP68 rating are another things, but really the camera is the biggest one.

So if you are OK with the items you are about to downgrade, just go for it :)

Absolutely love my 3T/128. It is blazingly fast with an unencumbered OS, quick and seamless updates. Compared to my older Samsung..............well, there isn't any comparison. And now I have Google Assistant on it.................who needs a Pixel??? I am running stock OS and not even thinking about rooting.........who needs it? Using it for e-mail and social media................my poor laptop gets the cold shoulder now. This was the best modest investment I have made in quite a few years.

guys, i am currently using Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and want to get the OP3T but i have some doubts regarding screen quality, music quality(note 5 sounds heaven with good headphones because of the wolfson dac), camera quality, resale value. the main reason why i want to get OP3T is because of the fast and no hassle stock android experience and also if i sell my note 5 i won't have to add a single penny(market value of samsung) to get op3t. suggest me guys what should i do???

What's wrong with the camera? The specs I've read have said it comes with a 16mp camera. What's really wrong with the camera?
MP alone doesn't tell you much about the overall quality of a smartphone's camera.

Some folks have commented that on the OP3T the auto focus is too slow (compared to some of the flagship phones), and/or often yields too many blurry photos, especially in lower light. But most comparisons of this sort are to phones that cost almost double the price (Samsung GS7, iPhone 7), at least in my market area.

Personally, I've been very pleased with the camera on the OP3T, but I'm also coming from a phone that is going on 3 years old, and the smartphone cameras have come a long way in that time, almost not matter what you buy. On the other hand, I've been able to get decent to good quality photos, and a lot of the pics I take are indoors with artificial lighting (which I would consider relatively low light), and of my young kids (which don't stand still for long). Yes, I have to be selective of how I take my photos; and I try to take more than one pic when I can, knowing some will have some blur. But the same can be said when taking photos with my DSLR camera.

i love my OP3T. fast. smooth. 1080p 60fps video. camera is incrementally better than my LG G3 (VS985) that i had before this. do i miss the SD card slot and the removable battery? yes and no. I got a tiny lexar usb-c microSD card reader that i put my old 64gb card that i had in my G3 so i can easily dump files and load files as needed.

i was a little irked by the initial wifi issue at home so i flashed my 4.0.3 backup and turned ipV6 off. turns out my ISP doesnt do IPV6 but my router does. so i set up IPV6 tunneling through hurricane electric on my router (asus rt-ac56u with merlin) and flashed back to 7.0.1 and my wifi is perfect now. it also fixed my laptop running windows 10 wifi issues as well. looks like newer devices and OS'es are preferring ipv6 nowadays.

but what really makes me love this phone is the SPEED. its fast enough to keep up with my fingers. :)

Well I got my OP3T a few days ago. I'm running FreedomOS. I got it stock of course. I unlocked the BL, flashed TWRP, now running custom ROMs. I have no idea what firmware I'm running. When I got the phone it was running AV 6.0.1, so maybe 3.5.3 or 3.5.8 (3.5 something). I have thought about switching to stock 7.1.1,but I thoroughly enjoy FreedomOS rom for now. As far as camera issues. I'm not much of a photographer anyways, so it handles my needs fine.

Need a new phone - 3T???

My phone (LG G4) just bricked on me :( due to major known hardware manufacturer issue (bootlooping). In the market for a replacement, and also having mostly great things about the 3T and OP in general, my only question is: Should I go for the 3T now or wait for the next one OP4/5???

Also do you guys have any clue when the next generation will be released?

You really don't need to wait. The 3T is almost perfect in most aspects. It is probably the fastest android phone out right now and it has all the features that a person might ever need. Of course the next Oneplus flagship will improve upon a few things (like the camera for instance), but I don't feel there is need to wait for it to come out as the release isn't really imminent right now.

Keep in mind that the next oneplus is almost certainly more expensive (possibly to a great extent) due to more features, making it a more premium phone, and definitely more advertisements, and once the new phone hits the market they will stop producing the 3t so you might not be able to buy it then. If you won't pay more than $500 for a chinese phone then consider buying the 3t now.

As for release date it could be july or even later (all rumors till now) as Samsung is hogging the snapdragon 835, and then the wait for it to be in stock which could be very long as well.
