I'm in love with this phone, confirmed.
And it updates like crazy, even now.

I was so impressed with everything that after sitting on the fence and considering the Mate 10, I ordered a 5T. Red.

OnePlus rocks.

Over three years of use and my 3T doesn't have a single mark, scratch or blemish of any kind on it. Having never used a case on it either, it looks like it did on day one. Nobody will ever make a smartphone as durable as this again.

Battery is still as good as it ever was, as is the overall responsiveness. The Buttons show no sign of wear or fatigue, including the Capacitive Buttons and Fingerprint Reader, which work as well as they ever did.

This device shows no sign of age or decay and feels like it could go on for another three years. I hope it does, as i have no desire to change to anything new. This form factor, aspect ratio and size is the best smartphones will ever be. It's a shame we'll never see another like it.

After almost three years of quite heavy use, battery is down to 50 %, and OLED display shows very well visible burn ins (status bar). Replaced it lately with the Rog II.

I've had mine for almost 3 years now; Battery is sitting around 75 percent of it's original capacity according to Accubattery, but performance is still good, and everything else is in excellent shape. Aside from the phone getting older, I don't see a reason to switch away as long as there is custom ROM support

Coming up on 3 years. Battery still gets me through the day with about 25% left, IMO the battery management of Dash charging has kept the battery from deteriorating like most do. I have never charged the phone on a standard charger, even in my car - Dash everywhere. Phone has been in a case with a screen protector since day one, looks brand new. I have really appreciated the support from OnePlus for this phone. It runs Pie happily with no performance or thermal issues. No sign of screen burn-in. Once the final 9.0.6 version of Oxygen gets old, I'll be switching to Lineage as I have with all my previous phones, all still running (Nexus 5, Nexus 4, and Moto G all running Lineage 14.1 and LG G2 running 15). Audio is great, camera works well on GCam 7 with amazing NightSight results.

That said, I will probably not be buying another OnePlus phone. I depend on my wired headphones, don't want to have to worry about charging more bits, the popup selfie cam worries me some.

I've been using Android since the G1 and three Nexus phones including the Nexus One. This phone is more like a Nexus than the Pixels are. Maybe the best phone for its time of the OnePlus line.
I hope it lasts

its amazing how well this device still works after over 3 years.
performance is easily well enough still.

battery is the only downside currently, which has gotten worse.
but it still lasts for the day.

This phone is like the Energizer Bunny!
@Eric_Lev

Am i mad for not switching to my OP5 right now? In theory i could be having a slightly better experience with it. Slightly faster and probably better Battery life. Yet i am 100% happy with my 3T. If i did switch i think i would really miss having the ability to relock my BL. It's great here not having to worry about Safetynet issues now!

Also it seems crazy not to run this phone into the ground first. The longer this one lasts, the longer it will be before even starting to put wear on the OP5. I absolutely loathe every single phone that's been released since the OP5. I might never like another phone this much again. Between the two i already own and love, i could be covered for another five years if i'm lucky!

Why can't all new phones just be the OP3T with updated internals, last four years and cost £400 every time?

Hope you are well?

A radical solution to get rid of remorse: the resale of one of the two ... :D

Hope you are well, too?

I'm good thanks.

I guess this is what one might call a good problem to have. I couldn't sell either of them though. Their worth to me is far higher than any cash value they may have. I don't like new phones so i need to keep these going as long as possible!

Hi, believe it or not, I forgot I made this post and just noticed your response. I hope you're enjoying a 3t these days. I'm still using mine. I keep looking at new phones, but they all lack some part of what the 3t has. I bought a Midnight Black 3t on eBay a few months ago intending to switch to Lineage 17.1, and used the phone that way for a couple of weeks, but ran into software issues. GPS didn't work at all, and there were problems with Bluetooth. I went back to Oxygen 9.0.6 and will probably just use the other phone to test ROMs until I find one that's solid enough to use. Wish I could get security patches for OOS but I'm living with what I have.
