I definitely can't say I hate this phone. For the price, it's hard to hate what this phone can so. I currently have this phone due to my previous Note 5 having various issues with the sim card tray. So this still managed to be quite a downgrade from that.
Performance
At the start this phone was perfectly fine, it has been my daily driver for about half a year or more now. About a month in with some actual usage and after disabling all of the pre-loaded bloat (looking at you Facebook app). The phone would very often slow down to slower than a snail's pace. Along with those issues, opening certain apps (though I realise this is some of the developer's fault for lack of optimisation) caused the phone to come to an entire crawling pace. Making it unusable for about 30 seconds at a time while I'm waiting for x to open. Recently I decided to just enable developer options and disable animations outright. Which has made the phone feel just a bit more snappy, and stops it from raising the temperature by 5 degrees everytime you open recent apps.
Camera
The camera on this phone is surprisingly decent for the price of the phone. In situations where there is decent (normally natural) lighting the phone takes decent pictures. It falls short when you have to use the flash, or have any low light situations. Pictures quickly begin to become grainy and too dark under any non-ideal conditions. The launch time for the camera is hit and miss. Sometimes it will launch within a second or so and other times it will take an atrocious amount of time to launch, normally causing you to miss your shot. Though most people won't buy this phone for the camera.
Conclusion
For any of the people who saw this phone in Walmart recently and decided to come running to xda to see what it was like. I would personally recommend you saving another paycheck and spending your money on something a bit more pricey, with some higher specs. Often I found myself becoming frustrated with this phone in 2018. With the processor being a massive annoyance and not holding up very well when multitasking or any app that isn't texting. But if you're really looking to spend $64.99 (The price in a nearby Walmart as of yesterday) this isn't the worst option. But I bet there are better alternatives.
