Quite satisfied with my a50, for a device that cost me only 250€. Good battery, beautifull screen, good perf after adb debloat, good rom ( a lot of usefull features )
Of course on negative side, the fingerprint scanner is just awfull, but you can use face unlock instead , it works flawlessly and is very fast, it works even in a dark room

I had before a Note 8 and I can say I'm really happy with the A50, ok the fingerprint sensor could be better (maybe later with an update?) but for the price from 220€ you can't find a better device, this is my opinion.

I have a Galaxy A505GN and my god the battery life on this phone is beyond amazing. I've used many phones in the past, including a Galaxy S5, S6, S8+, S10, Pocophone F1, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition, Redmi Note 3 Pro, etc. None of them have battery life as good as the A505GN.

Typically, I would buy phones that are in the mid~highend range. Phones such as the A505GN wouldn't even be considered in my list of choices. I just so happen to receive this phone as a work phone, played around with it and didn't bother rooting it or anything. Just running on complete stock rom on Android 9.0. I am completely blown away by how good the battery life is on this phone.

I get about 30 minutes of screen on time (SOT) and only 1% drop in battery life. I get 0% drop over an idle period of 9~10 hours. It could probably idle for longer, but I usually leave it overnight for 9 hours while I sleep and wake up in the morning with no loss in battery life. I use GSAM to monitor my battery life, as well as Superfreezz to close any apps. I don't use Greenify, even though I used to.

On my other devices, such as my Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition, I get good battery life as well. I get about 13~16 minutes of SOT and lose only 1%. But this A505GN seriously takes it to the next level. I don't even have to worry about turning off bluetooth or location anymore.

I don't disable any system apps (except for Google Chrome, as I replaced that with Bromite browser). Everything is pretty much just stock. I use Adguard's DNS for private DNS (to block ads) and turned off any settings I don't normally use. All my apps and settings are pretty consistent across all my phones.

On my Galaxy S10 and S8+, I would have to use Magisk with Greenify and apply a lot of tweaks to make the phone last throughout the day. I've also tried using custom ROMs on those phones and while they did improve battery life, it's nowhere near as good as my A505GN. It makes me really wonder why the flagships from the same company don't have good battery life. Of course, it depends on the capacity of the battery on each device, but they shouldn't vary by that much. My S8+ has 3500mah and the A505GN has 4000mah. One has about 5 minutes of SOT per 1% and the other has 30 minutes of SOT per 1%. It's just such a big difference.

I really love this phone, good display was my priority and i was not dissapointed.. i can't really complain about anything, i just wish there was better XDA support in terms of ROM's..

Maybe some of the problems were sprint but this is the reason I am back to iPhone for good. I phone that can’t hold a data connection doesn’t need any other problems.

It doesn’t deserve the 2
