I'm honestly not all that happy with its performance.

While I wouldn't say it lags necessarily, there's always a lot of dropped frames and glitchiness while opening apps, Google Now, FB messenger bubbles, etc. I often found myself just plain not using features of the phone just because the dropped frames made it feel cumbersome.

And while I know people will say "Aw man, the facebook app sucks. I don't even use it." Yeah, sorry, but I actually want to use it. That's what it's there for. That's what it should be. Just saying not to use it, or to use things like facebook through even slower means like the internet browser or Chrome, is basically cutting off your nose to spite your face.

While I'm not an iPhone guy (haven't owned one since the iPhone 4), I will say, there's far less dropped frames and glitchiness in the iPhone operating system. If I had to sacrifice a bit of customization or features in Android to achieve an iPhone-smooth experience on a beautifully-Samsung display, I'd do it in a second.

Although, to be fair, I do think it's more Samsung's fault than Android's; Samsung phones have always dropped more frames than a lot of the stock or vanilla Android phones.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say other phones don't drip frames - obviously they do.

But, imo, Samsungs suffer from it way more than most other phones - especially iphones. So much so that, for me, it can negatively effect the overall experience of using their phones.

But to me, as a consumer, you shouldn't have to do that.

You shouldn't have to basically rebuild your phone just to have it work right. I mean, obviously I get it if you're a tech geek, and that kind of thing is fun to you, that's cool. I don't mean to be critical in that sense. But if you're a phone manufacturer - probably the second best/most popular (in the US, at least) - your phone should be a beast right out of the box. And like I said, for me, I've always had better UI experiences on other brand phones.

Speed is a little disappointing for me, especially when browsing the web or when the heavy usage kicks in. TouchWiz's redesign is noticeable though I will say that.

Give a try to the stock browser... more fluid compare to chrome.

I bought a LG V20 just a week back...

Somebody here convinced me to buy it over HTC10.
I don't like it.
Using this very site on it is botchy and stuttery. And FB and such apps as well.
I haven't optimized it in any way and I don't think I should need to in a flagship phone.
My OnePlus 3T runs every thing(btw I'm writing this after reopening this site on OP 3T) like a boss. One thumb swipe on OP3t and it moves smoothly AF.

My Q is that should I replace my LGV20 with a S7. I don't want another OnePlus 3T.
Would I have the same problems in S7.
I would be buying the exynos version (India).

Thanks.

S7 overall speed

I have my S7 flat exynos for about 1.5 years, never did a factory reset and I have the software to date. I must say I'm impressed, it is very fast, I've compared to an iphone x and sometimes it beat it in app-opening speed test. Also, camera is great, even in 2018.

I have S7 for 2 years, still running Android Nougat, Superman ROM, seems more stable and faster then Oreo.
Also still have no reason to replace s7 with something newer. Battery is still good, phone is in great shape without case for over a year because of outstanding build quality, camera is very good for old generation device - still in top 10% phone cameras on market.
Overally best phone I ever had.
