ever since the weather is getting warm, I notice that every time I took my watch under the sun for some time, the watch would just shutdown. If I turn it on right after, it shutdown again. I have to put it under the shade for a while before turning it on ..

anybody else experience the same ?

Same here.
Went to LA last summer with the watch but had no shutdown issue.
It now shut down right after I turn it on in room temperature environment now :(

hmm ... I also didn't have this problem last summer .. everything about my watch is standard .. no custom rom or kernel .. the only modification is my own watchface that I made with beatifulwatch app, but I had this problem when I'm using standard watchface

Update: I used an app called System Info to track the battery temperature and low and behold the temperature sensor thinks that the watch is overheating even when the watch is cool to the touch.

For example it said the watch is 48.3 degrees Celsius which translates to 119 degrees Fahrenheit; mind you my a/c is blasting pure cold air!

The only fix appears to somehow disable the temperature sensor which will possibly cause the circuit board/motherboard to fry if the watch severely overheat or simply replace the board.

The big issue is finding a replacement board. I saw a video on YouTube in which a guy swapped in a LG Urbane board as a replacement.

Sent from my SM-G935T using XDA-Developers mobile app

so I received my unit back from repair .. unfortunately they don't tell me what's wrong with it .. what I can tell is that they replace the main body of my watch - I had some small usewear scratches on the bezel and now it's gone ...

I use it all day yesterday and all is fine, but it was not that hot yesterday also ..
