I just wanted to let you all know that this is not safe! This is a fw and it is almost the most important thing on this phone! I've already seen noobs flashing this things and then posts f**** thread to solve their bricked phones! So if you want to try it out nobody said you can't, I've only suggested to not do it... So shut up and don't make non sense

Okay, so after further testing and calibrating I found out that it does actually drain more battery than 3.32 (sleeping phone's mAh jumped from my regular 2-20 to 40-120!) Also, there were some funky freezes that never happened before, but maybe that's just me.
Anyway I went back to the 3.32 but If you got a pair of balls and really warm phone you can give it a shot yourself as every device is different, what works for me doesn't have to work for you and vice versa.
Thanks anyway musa

So now mixing and matching firmware elements not only reduces overheating according to your claims (a claim that has been tested and disproved by a few different people doing thorough testing) but now, coincidentally right when your thread is starting to lose popularity and fall way down the list of threads, now your miracle cure it suddenly prevents random reboots? (Thus making the thread interesting again...)

I mean...seriously?

see the deffrence before and after flashing 3.12 Firmware in these two photos

And you are comparing the stability of OrDroid 2.0.8 with the stadbility of OrDroid 3.0.0 on 3.12 firmware when the ROM is designed for use with 3.32 firmware, and claiming that the partial firmware swap you did is the reason for less restart volatility? All without making it clear in the original post that you're comparing the random restarts of two different versions of the ROM?

In the first post you make it sound like you've done an honest comparison where the only variable is the firmware, where the phone reboots a lot on 3.32 firmware but not on 3.12 firmware.

But buried on page 5 of the thread you say that you're comparing version 3 of the ROM against version 2 of the ROM, both on 3.12 firmware, making the ROM the variable.

Which test did you actually do? They aren't the same thing.

Plus you're running version 3 of OrDroid on the wrong firmware, and saying that it doesn't work. That's kind of badmouthing the OrDroid developers when its you who are trying to use the ROM with the wrong firmware.

To everyone else, if I'm missing something here please point it out. I don't want to be complaining about a post incorrectly. By all means show me where I've misunderstood this.

So now mixing and matching firmware....

yes that's right i will try every thing. non of the people in here become a pro since born i'll keep testing ank feedback result ....

i try this on 2.0.8 ordroid but people feed back under 2.0.0 was not the same result yesterday i download v 3.0.0 when i flahed it like i said i had 3 shutdown in 4 hs so i did hit back from 3hs to v 2.0.8 and no restat tell now so it's better ...

same rom v2.0.8 i was using it with 3.32 it was had all this sudden shutdown & restart + battery drain and overheating that's the truth i claim

so....what do u think...?

in photos i thread was comparing v2.0.8 with two different firmware ......

and for post later I tried it today it's v3.0.0 under 3.12 and i'm now downloading v3.0.1 and going to flash it @ morning with firmware 3.32 and post the result for u thanks for notice ,,,,

im not blaming any one i only try to measure compatibility and stability with the two firmware and post the result to collect feed back ... 2.0.8 + 3.12 fw was the best till now .

Big difference here, not a placebo. I forgot what its like to have a phone in your hand instead of a hand warmer. Seriously, 10 minutes of web meant noticeable heat, not anymore. Give it a try if you have concerns, worst case scenario, flash back to 3.32 - boo hoo?

Have you guys tried just flashing a different radio or mixing rils instead of mixing firmwares to reduce heat as I just did and works for me ;)
Different kernels have different temp. results too obviously..
I'm on ARHD 6.6.3 with recommended latest firmware, was using latest brick kernel now using faux latest beta , with new radio and ril frm China. Here is my batt temp.

I was on bricked for awhile, it didn't get that hot though but it wasn't this low either. I was just on the phone to a friend for an hour using bluetooth earpiece an the temp after the call is 20 degrees C which is good as I am in a bad coverage area.

Been on charge since then or after posting that, not using it and now its dropped to 10.4 degrees C

No one called you a fool.

We said that this so called fix is dangerous and at best has a placebo effect. And we said that it's irresponsible for you to be recommending this 'fix' all over XDA regardless of what peoples' problems are or what ROM's they are running.

Yet, you continue to do it.

Yeah been following your thread since it opened and here are some more details:
Firmware: 3.32.401.105 by Mike1986
Rom: ARHD 6.6.3
Kernel: Faux v006b2
Radio: 11.72.3504.00U_11.23.3504.08_M2
RIL: HTC-RIL 4.0.0024 HMQ

I think it all comes down to the kernel as others so far haven't seen a battery drop with the new radio but could be a good combo. I flashed faux kernel ontop of bricked v1.1 which I flashed over stock kernel. When I woke up this morning lol yes got up late I checked again and here's my temp in 1st shot an second is now after normal use..

It wasn't a placebo for me when it came to temperature. My phone temperature was much lower, however, my battery life dropped by like 30%. That being said, I'm back on 3.32.

Plus if you would talk like a normal person and not like a 13 year old that texts all day you may not seem so... I don't know immature and that you don't have much idea of what are you doing ( which clearly you don't...), if people ( and experienced people) are saying that this is potentially dangerous is because it is but you know when people start getting mad at you for bricking their phones is when I guess you will learn.

I completely agree man... I can say from what I've seen that these things are very dangerous cause I've heard about lots of people (without experiences) bricking their phone only to be a simple tester of someone's work... So be careful with this things expecially when we are talking about a fw!
