I used a cheap Qi charger (JeTech Ultra Slim Qi charger to be exact) to test wireless charging on my N5. I started it at 14%, and then when it reached around 30%, it began to heat up. Checked the temp with Ampere and it was 39º C, so I cooled it down for a bit and tried again, just to experience the same issue again.

I'm currently looking for a wireless charger that doesn't heat up my phone to that magnitude. I fear it might damage the battery, causing it to bulge and/or explode...

The same happened with one of my ravpower with chargers (black) . They replaced it free even though it was a year old. I also have the white one which, so far, hasn't had any issues. It's 8 mos. I have other products from RAVPOWER that have yet to quit on me.

This happens when the charging current is too low which is common in cheap chargers. This also happens to me when I misalign the charger i.e. when the charger is to far away from the phone's induction coil.

You could try to reposition your phone on the charger and see if that helps.
