Try disabling the battery optimization on the advanced settings of the app, happened to me too

Just flash the full zip of the AA version available on the OnePlus website now.

For gmail i noticed that it happened to me too, but for now uninstalling its update and resyncing from the account on the settings seams to work

Didn't want to edit so the thread get updated, but it didn't fix the issue, even after restoring with msm for a clean install, ended up using edison mail

I don't think it has to do with OnePlus really... I am seeing people talk about it elsewhere and in the reviews for the GMail app.
