Flash MIUI Recovery ROM or Incremental Update Zip using Updater-app

Requirements
  • Atleast 70% Battery Level
  • Locked Bootloader
  • Unlocked Bootloader with Stock MIUI system, boot, recovery i.e. software should not be modified in any way

Steps
  • Download the recovery/incremental ROM zip and place it in internal storage
  • Enable Wi-Fi/mobile data on your phone
  • Open updater-app > Tap three dots > Choose update package
  • Select the ROM zip and wait for it to be verified and decrypted
  • Select Reboot to apply update

If the updater-app method doesn't work for you, use Recovery Mode or Fastboot Mode.

Thanks for the details. I have unlocked bootloader with Stock MIUI system, boot, recovery.
If I update using increment zip file, will data be wiped?

thanks i will flash 8.5.8.0 using stock miui recovery.
btw why pc is needed? rom can be flashed from sd card
You have to use XiaoMi Tool using PC to access recovery mode. You cannot boot into stock recovery manually and flash ROM from sdcard.

Miui 9 is quite buggy at the moment.. Laggy sometimes.. Random errors.. Applications don't open at times until ram cleared.. Miui 8 is better for now I guess
