Not liking this update.

My favourite app Screebl is constantly kicked out of memory and is therefore useless. I've prevented the system from closing it, turned off all battery optimisations and allowed it to be a device administrator etc. :crying:

They still haven't sorted out the gmail notification LED bug. They blame Google, Google blames One Plus.

I'm seriously considering going back to Nougat as everything just worked.

Its time I did a fresh install ,I've been dirty flashing since day one , do I just copy the instructions below ? I'm flashing official rom 5.0.3 so dont think I'll need to flash Gapps

TWRP is ok.
Wipe all (without internal).
Flash ROM.Flash Gapps.
Flash Magisk 16.4. Got black screen with white led
When white led appear, restart recovery ( power button).
Reflash Magisk.
Reboot to recovery.
Flash recovery img.(8.61 of course)
Reboot to recovery.
Wipe cache/Dalvik.
Reboot to system.

and will that insure I dont lose all my saved stuff on the internal memory ?

I have upgraded OnePlus 3 to 5.0.3 today with blu_spark TWRP, Magisk and FrancoKernel and no issues so far.

I have face unlock feature disabled. They say it causes the device to be uncertified in Play Services.

which blue_spart TWRP did you use? I tried the ones from March and April and after flashing the recovery image, booting into recovery takes me straight back to fastboot

Hi,
these are the instructions for a custom ROM. Oxygen OS include Gapps. And you need flash 5.0.3 firmware first.

I used twrp-3.2.1-x_blu_spark_v8.61-op3_op3t.img. Now you can flash the recovery from fastboot through USB.

thanks. do you have password protected partition? mine is, and the regular twrp 3.2.1 cannot mount /system /data even when the password code is entered correctly.

Gotta say, after having the update for a while I have noticed that with the stock kernel the battery usage is completely Zero on standby. I have every connectivity option on (WiFi, Bluetooth, location, mobile network), none of the apps closed and still great standby time.
OnePlus has done something right :)
