Cool because I have read somewhere that you should update from A12 to A13 like you install the update, reboot and then patch boot img. Glad it is working fine with only disabled modules. :)
Tbh it was seamless, I've got guides in the 8 pro forum for upgrading between bases whilst retaining root... Same principle here between 12 and 13

So it is basically the same procedure as if you are upgrading from build with the same base? For example here between A13 to A14 build of OOS12, right?

I have also done this many times on my previous phones, but this one has no msm so I am double checking.

All good.

Root retained and working perfectly

1. Grab the update.
2. Grab the update APK.
3. Copy the update to the root of C and rename the zip by removing the .jar extension, it's not required.
4. Install the update using the APK you just got.
5. As the update finishes, do not click reboot.
6. Back out and open up magisk, disable systemless and any other modules you have active.
7. Click the top install button on magisk, then select install after OTA.

Take the reboot and you're done.

Once booted back up, turn on your modules and you're good.

👍🏻
do you have root? Can you check the DC dimming module on Android 13?

here's my advice for anyone installing this on a rooted device and want to retain root by flashing in the other slot. DON'T!

Flashing this on a rooted device should be fine since it's the full zip, but don't root by flashing in the other slot after OTA. My experience with flashing a new android version and trying to keep root on multiple OP phones have ended up in a soft brick. The only difference here is that we don't have TWRP or unbrick tools to save your ass.

Let the phone update to android 13 and let it boot up at least once or twice before extracting the boot, patching, and rooting.

    You're welcome!

Updated yesterday. Ran EU, updated with IN. No problems so far. Haven't used the phone so much, but I can tell you already that the update is better than ColorOS shait.

Battery also seems stable from yesterday. Over the night, the phone have only dropped few %. Checked the battery just now after 30 mins screentime, and it's down to 90%. (Was 94%), and for my usage it's pretty fair.
