Hello guys, well I think I need some help here...
I downloaded the 4.1.6 full ZIP to upgrade from 4.1.3 +TWRP + root. I do it since 4.0.3 this way - boot into TWRP 3.0.4-1, flash full Zip, wipe dalvik&cache, flash SuperSU 2.79, wipe again and reboot. I did 2 or 3 updates this way and everything always went smooth.

Well not this time. I did everything but after rebooting I get the phone stuck on the load screen (the "O" of Oneplus red and white circling around... That one). It starts rotating and then freezes the screen completely. I waited about 1 min and then switched off by pressing 10 sec power. I turned it on again, luckily I get the start screen but I cannot go neither in recovery nor in system (same as above). Only fastboot mode seems to work.

What should I do now? I think I will need to install a working TWRP somehow and try to reflash the ROM?

Was it some version conflict in your opinion?

Thanks in advance to anyone helping.

Well, solved.
I flashed via fastboot TWRP 3.1.1.1 and then re-flashed the 4.1.6 ROM.
Then I sideloaded SuperSU 2.82, wipe cache and rebooted.
Everything works fine now (pheew!)

Thanks
Ciao

I updated the thread with 4.1.6 afterwards so the link could be of 4.1.5. there is another thread with mirrors of 4.1.6, you can either try that one or can download the full ROM from oneplus's website.
That makes sense. I'll download from their site if I need to. Does anyone know why they pulled the last update? I'm on it right now, and I don't seem to be having any issues.

Your solution worked. Thanks.

I am on OOS 4.1.3 . rooted with twrp (3.0.3.0) . I downloaded the full zip. TWRP > standard wipe (data, dalvik, cache) . flashed full zip+ super su. reboot to TWRP. then reboot system. This is what I was doing for many updates. infact have done dirty flashes too before. but this time on reboot after flash but the phone is stuck at the booting screen. (red dot and white dots around it) at one point the dots stop moving.
what are the options now ?

edit------------
apparently it was the supersu 2.79. flashed supersu 2.8.2 and it worked.
I faced the same issue when I tried updating couple of months back and I stumbled upon your post while searching randomly. It worked. Thanks.
