Managed to root the OxygenOS 11 Beta 1 ! :D

I've uploaded all the files required (including rooted and default boot.img) and instructions here : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=17248734326145719260

Magisk 21.4 is applied along with Magisk Manager 8.0.7 (which is included in the zip)

Read the instructions carefully, I'm not responsible for bricked phones ;)
If you manage to brick it then head for the MSM forum thread

SafetyNet Attestation fails but that's happening on the Android 11 custom roms so should come in time, actually it seems to work after enabling Magisk Hide.

Still no luck here. Still getting unable to parse kernel log error.

Thank you very much for your contribute. :)
I do not understand one thing... if you already prepared the patched boot image, why not simply flash it to root the device? I mean upgrade to OB1, then go in fastboot and flash magisk_patched img...?

I wasn't sure it would work so rooting the extracted boot image and then booting to it using fastboot is non-destructive to the boot image on the phone, so if it didn't boot properly I could just reboot the phone with no harm done, but allows Magisk to root the installed boot image on the phone itself.

Yes, I get your point. Besides that, if something goes wrong it is always possible to reflash original boot.img from fastboot.
Going to upgrade soon... thanks again.

I am currently rooted, with twrp. I want to clean install this and keep the stock recovery for now since twrp isn't working anyway. How can I do this and also keep root?
I did the following:
Downloaded the Zip file (Full OTA) using Oxygen Updater.
Went to settings, system updates, local update and clicked on the file.
When it was done I did not reboot, went to Magisk, installed to the inactive slot, and then reboot. Everything is working fine except I don't have TWRP anymore but I'll wait for a fix on that, not that important to me.

You are rooted also still? Also which twrp version are you using?

I have no mobile network connection after booting the patched boot.img. Is this because I setup VoLTE before via PDC? Can anyone who did this before and upgraded to A11 OB1 chime in?

I can't even get the patched boot.img to boot without throwing me into a bootloop. Tried reflashing the OTA, and another patched boot.img with Magisk to no avail. Guess I'm waiting until someone releases a revised version of TWRP.

You didn't read the instructions properly, I said "FASTBOOT BOOT" not "FASTBOOT FLASH BOOT"

FASTBOOT BOOT uses that rooted image to temporarily boot the phone, then you use the installed Magisk app to patch the boot image on the actual phone.

My mistake. That's what I meant. Copied the command directly from your instructions. No luck. The only thing I did flash - was the boot image back to stock. Rest assured - I followed them to a T. No idea why it's not working. I just tried again and I've seen these two dots orbit the same circle for about 10 minutes.

You're on 64bit Windows and ran the cmd window as admin? (The ADB tools I use are the 64bit ones so allow larger files).

What did Fastboot devices report?

Not sure what to tell you, I used the exact same files I uploaded. Maybe re-download the zip and try again in case it was a bad download.

Good threat! Thnx.
I had a working OP7Pro rooted but twrp didnt work. (forgot to check) then I enabled some magisk modules.. That was'nt a good idea.
Now I can't boot a rooted boot image because the magisk modules are enabled. And I can only disable them if you are rooted or have magisk... Hopefully a patched twrp will be there soon.

Open Beta 4 is now out, downloaded it and trying to get it uploaded to AFH but uploads aren't currently working for me, although both OxygenOS and Oxygen Updater offered it.

    Changelog
    • System
      • Fixed the issue that the battery icon in the status bar is abnormally displayed
      • Fixed known issues and improved system stability
    • Bluetooth
      • Fixed the issue where Bluetooth headsets are silent in aptX Adaptive mode
Since the OnePlus 7 skipped Open Beta 3, this is the OnePlus 7-specific change log:
    • System
      • Fixed the issue of slow charging rate in some cases
      • Fixed the issue where Voice Wakeup is turned off after a system upgrade
      • Fixed the lagging issue when playing screen-recorded videos
      • Fixed the small probability failure issue with the Double Tap to Wake
      • Fixed the issue that the battery icon in the status bar is abnormally displayed
    • Ambient Display
      • Always-on ambient display is available now (Go to: Settings - Utilities - OnePlus Laboratory - Always-on ambient display)
    • Bluetooth
      • Fixed the silent issue when the Bluetooth transport protocol is changed to aptX or aptX Adaptive
    • Network
      • Improved the stability of the Wi-Fi connection and reduce Internet outages
    Note:
Enabling the AOD feature will lead to increased power consumption in the build. However, this will be optimized in the upcoming builds.

If you are rooted already then download the update and let it install but DO NOT REBOOT, then go into the Magisk app and choose the option to install to inactive slot : "Install to Inactive Slot (After OTA)", then let the Magisk app reboot for you. You should remain rooted when it boots into Beta 4.

I would recommend clearing cache in the recovery after any OTA update.

From OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 4
    to OxygenOS 11
    without losing your data.

1.) Download and install OxygenOS 11
    2.) Download keep_data.apk
You need to install it after the update was installed but before you restart.

After the apk is installed, run the application, click "KEEP DATA".

You should now be able to restart the phone without losing your data

    P.S.
    All your applications
    and data remain intact

Is there anyway to root oxygen 11 stable ?
    1
isnt twrp working yet? i have twrp and using pixel experience R...isnt it the same concept?

No, all the "Android 11" custom roms are using an amalgamation of Android 11 core and Android 10 kernel stuff for OP7P, that's why TWRP works on em, it won't work yet on OxygenOS 11 until we get official source.

Hi Guys, I tested last year the beta of Android 11 and i didnt like the New font. There wasnt an option to choose the old font of Oxygen OS so i returned to Android 10.

Can someone Confirm, that in the New stable Version there is the old font too?

    Thx

OnePlus Sans in the new official OnePlus font, the other one won't return by default but there are plenty of font management apps that still include it, they'll usually need root access.

FontFix is a good one with plenty of choice and some very nice looking fonts.

With your help, we have been able to better optimize and improve several key areas. Check your downloads after completion, for integrity, by confirming MD5 checksum, I would recommend the following for Windows : WinMD5 Free - Windows MD5 Utility Freeware for Windows 7/8/10

Both OnePlus's download site and Android File Host will show the MD5 which should be shown for your completed download, if your file doesn't match then it's not a good download.

It does have the new AoD actually, if you enable it! Run this in a root terminal:

    setprop sys.aod.debug_support_always_on 1
    pkill systemui

Now the option to enable it will appear in the settings.

Downloaded and Installed over magisk rooted OB19, flashed TWRP in EXKM, opened Magisk Manager and installed Magisk to Inactive Slot, rebooted and all is working well.

Edit: TWRP flashes when trying to boot to recovery and never opens. Gonna try a few things.

Edit 2: No functioning TWRP for OOS11 currently, flashed stock boot.img and now unrooted with stock recovery and boot. Gonna stay here and wait until TWRP is working for us.
