OxygenOS keeps closing some apps running in the background

It's making me mad. I've disabled every battery saving option the OS has, yet some apps keep getting killed no matter what.
And I'm seriously thinking about switching to a custom ROM just to fix it, even though I don't really need it since OxygenOS is pretty good as it is... Except for the outstanding issue.

Anyone has any suggestion on how to force keep apps running? I'm rooted, so I'm not limited in my possibilities.
