so guys good news! We have a new exploit working! This has been tested by the_laser on his phones!

I have successfully ported it for the devices i have/use... It was ported to android by hiikezoe but it was a huge pain trying to get every address involved... Huge thanks to fi01 for helping out understand the whole process and giving a great walkthrough as to how to port new devices to it!


if you are facing issue of device rebooting when remounting /system partition then checkout the fix posted by @[nut]


[ note ]

this will work on both locked & unlocked bootloader devices!


beginning from v13 now you only need to be on the corresponding firmware! Any customization should work


[ how to root ]


  1. just download the file, extract it completely using winzip/winrar
  2. go to the folder where its extracted and execute "runme.bat"
  3. read and follow the instructions on the screen!
  4. reboot the device after the script has finished execution!

[*] this script will:

      (2) install busybox
      (3) install su files
  

[*] before u begin:   
      (1) make sure u have installed adb drivers for ur device
      (2) enable "usb debugging" 
            from (menu\settings\applications\development)
      (3) enable "unknown sources"
            from (menu\settings\applications)
      (4) [optional] increase screen timeout to 10 minutes
      (5) connect usb cable to phone and then connect to pc

Xperia SO-04e docomo Bootloader Blocked Rooting status: NO

Good afternoon DoomLord I have a Xperia ZR SO-04E Docomo android 4.2.2, the problem I can not use data service or update to android up version and always is roaming activated.
Bootloader locked and does not allow me to Flashtool SuperSu or Rooting
What I can do:rolleyes:. thanks for your time

Dev-Host download doesn't work

I can't get this file to download from Dev-Host - so many ads, and the only file that downloads is a file with the wrong size ending in .iso that contains a setup.exe - smells fishy to me.
Now I've seen that Dev-Host is officially not recommended by XDA, see https://www.xda-developers.com/xda-devhost/

I'd love to try this toolkit, but I can't access it at all!

Same, I tried the .exe to which you refer and it's a disease for someone without anti virus. Trojan and alot of spam 'Play warframe', 'Play Warthunder', 'Play World of Tanks' shortcuts.. I'd love to see a proper file uploaded :)

Same here. In Safari and Chrome, any clicks anywhere on the devhost download page are redirected to malware downloads. Only in Firefox, one of the buttons seems to continue to the intended download, but even that always times out. I have been trying 45 minutes now.
@DooMLoRD can you please re-upload somewhere else? I see it was once mirrored on Dropbox by someone trying to be helpful, but apparently taken down again because you asked not to mirror.
