I don't know if it will help any of you but hear is my "safe" watch face. What are it's features to help burn in:
1. It's fully read in Main face (digital) and Dim face (analog).
2. Main face (digital): basing on hour of day it's changing it's opacity for example I have set it up to have 100% from 7 am to 6 pm then it's changing for lower value like 35% or something. You can choose your own. (I don't have to say that less opacity is less light so lower in-burn)
3. Main face (digital): background is changing to 20% after 6 pm.
4. Dim face (analog): during day (7 am to 6 pm) it's setup on 50% of opacity (I work indoor so it's ok for me), from 6 pm to 10 pm it set up for 35% and from 10 pm to 7 am it's set up for 20%.
5. Dim face (analog): at 3 pm all not moving parts are rotated 15 degrees to have additional in-burn protection.

On Main face (digital) there is hour, weather (when you click on it it will force weather update), current temperature, current and next conditions, date, week number, steps, kilometers, phone battery level, watch battery level, WiFi connection strength, shortcut for agenda on watch, shortcut for fitness app and shortcut to check hart-rate.
Dim face (analog) is just analog so not much to say.

Remember that it's changing it's opacity basing on time so if you try it on your watch now it will be less visible than during day.

It's simple and not everyone will like it's look but I hope that it could help someone anyway.

The watch face has been updated since the OP's experience. So anyone using it now, is not using the exact "same" version they had back then.

You should download a live screensaver to the watch with all color spectrums and play it 2-3 times a week for 10min each time. The whole problem is "always on" I never do that with any screen. When I forget to turnoff my plasma screen on still pictures I get burn in and solve it with live screen saver.

Try changing ambient mode to low bit mode in developer settings.

I read that in the second it was posted but you have to consider that disabling that protection requires ROOT.
We are not talking about rooted devices .. we are talking about stock ones. And stock, the pixel shift is, as I said, a system function, independent of the watchface used.

Once you go root, you acknowledge risks ... it is no longer "factory grade".
Hello maybe you can help me because I have found no info on how to do totally disable android wears burn in protection on my huawei watch on 5.1.1. I tried a suggesstion of editing the build.pro and adding these lines in but they seem to have no effect whatsoever on disabling the pixel shift in ambient mode.

I added these line in notepad++ and then changed them to what i though would disable anything like the next set

ro.ambient.burn_in_protection=1
ro.ambient.burn_in_x_offset=0,2,4,6,6,4,2,0,-2,-4,-6,-6,-4,-2
ro.ambient.burn_in_y_offset=0,2,4,4,2,0,-2,-4,-6,-6,-4,-2
ro.ambient.burn_in_radius_max=7

ro.ambient.burn_in_protection=0
ro.ambient.burn_in_x_offset=0
ro.ambient.burn_in_y_offset=0
ro.ambient.burn_in_radius_max=0

If you know how or where I can look to change a setting to disable it I would owe u a beer for sure!

I am rooted and have full access to anything I need to change. Please contact me asap and feel free to PM me or quote me here. Thanks!

There are no other colours than Red, Green and Blue. You need to check those pure colours for uniformity issues and address that problem. There are burn-in fixers on the playstore.
