Anyone running STOCK 1.83, rooted, before installing this want to do me a favor? I need you to send me a file from your device BEFORE any custom ROMs are installed. PM me if you can assist.
i have a rooted atrix with stock rom... what do u need??

i have some questions....

i need CWM??

i can backup my stock rom???? (using CWM??)

this is a rom that looks just the same as the stock rom???

im really interested of making an amazing phone even better but looking the same, but im little scare cos i think this phone is harder to hack than the Nexus one and i dont want a brick..

i like how the motoblur looks.. i hope that motorola release the newer version of motoblur using gingerbread soon... >.<

Answered in bold above. This doesn't really "hack" your phone. It's a pseudoROM.

I have flashed over gingerblur with plenty of other themes. Its works just fine. I only had to delete the textmsg apks and mediagallery apks. So I would have to say its pretty safe

Sent from my MB860
Edit: haha just found this but its no big deal

It's far from safe. There's a very real chance it can brick your phone when mixing customizations like this. While you may not have had any issues, that doesn't mean it's safe. It's just as likely that everything will be fine as it is that everything will break. :)

Read up on Tenfar's custom recovery thread and how to flash CWM updates first. It's not hard.

You can try, but I don't recommend or condone the practice. It WILL remove any theme you have currently though, and it will replace any customized system apps with the stock versions. Just FYI.

The call delay fix is:
Code:
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=1000
in build.prop

That would be the best option, yes.
So before I do this, do you have any information on what the reason for this delay is? In other words, what effects (positive or negative) might result from making the above change? I don't quite understand why Motorola wouldn't just reduce this delay to begin with, or even why they would introduce one in the first place. I don't think you'd intentionally screw up our phones with this change, I just want to understand what I'm doing to my Atrix before I do it.

Thank you!!

I don't see a line item for ro.telephony.call_ring.delay in my build.prop, is this a new item? Offtopic, but while I was in there, I saw:

ro.ril.hsxpa=3
ro.ril.hsdpa.category=8
ro.ril.hsupa.category=5

Does anyone know anything about this?

"Enables Google location services"

why?

isn't this just a waste of battery and a privacy concern?
Uhh....why would it waste battery? It just uses your cell towers location if you don't have GPS turned on. Also, for some websites it's advantageous to have location services on such as nextbus.com.

Your guess is as good as anyone's. Likely to do with users in poor coverage areas, gives the phone longer to make a decent signal lock before placing the call. I haven't noticed any adverse side effects, but I rarely use my phone as a phone.

Ririal i would like to suggest some features..

In CM there is an option that when you are listening music, all the notifications will play normally and the music wont stop, it just get a little lower. can it be done?

and another thing... add the option or active the option to change between 2G+3G+4G (or Automatic Network) to just 2G or GSM Only.

thats are my suggestions, anyways, if u cant do it i dont care, its just to get more stuff in a good rom :p

Fixed it. Still a few minor glitches, but at least it works now. You can install this over GA3 if you already installed, or both at the same time, GladiAtrix3.zip first, the fix second.

EDIT: I'll merge the two when I get home.
