With so many scattered posts around rooting and restoring stock firmware/unbricking, I would really appreciate if someone is able to confirm\clarify below please or provide a summary of general steps:
Restoring Stock from scratch (\unbricking):
With Huawei previous models including P9 Lite, P8 Lite, Honor 5C up to Android 6, I used to restore stock recovery (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ) and force upgrade (dload folder method: usually just the files extracted from update.zip).
Can’t this be done anymore with P10 Lite or even othe models like P9 Lite/Honor 5c Lite once upgraded to Android 7? Some indicates it can be 1 2, whilst others say it does not work anymore. If not, what is the easiest way to do this?
What’s the difference between FullOTA-MF-PV & FullOTA-MF firmware?
update.zip = Main Update File
update_full_NEM-L51_hw_eu.zip = regional update file?
update_data_full_public.zip = ?
All needs to be flashed?
