Aw... shoot....

I wish I'd checked here before using QFIL to update to S288 this morning and ended up with having to reinstall everything.... well there you go, lesson learned.... always check and recheck on XDA before doing anything....

(I was already on S285 with TWRP when I decided I want to update to S288 even at the cost of having to redo TWRP and Root.... )
Can you please provide the twrp image you used to restore twrp recovery or files required to get root?

I also upgraded to s288 using qfil flashable file.
Now I am getting strange error while flashing twrp using fastboot.
The error msg is
"remote: invalid signature and data"
Anybody got it?

Can we have more detailed step by step instructions on how to install the image?

Thanks in advance

After flashing this successfully, I noticed it changed your mac address?

Is it just me or am I correct?

It's working very good! I definitely miss stock rom ?
Here's the detailed instructions:
1. Download the file
2. Extract it on sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/ccd5f070
3. Go to TWRP
4. Backup your current rom to be sure
5. Restore 2016-08-14--18-43-28_P1a42_S288_160721_ROWclean
6. After restoring, factory reset
7. Reboot system.
8. Then tada! It will say "Lenovo Initiating.."

Tested and 100% working
Enjoy!

How different is this from the regular QFIL flash?
Restoring thru TWRP doesn't affect your efs or qcn, which means your IMEI and Serial Number doesn't get affected. The process is also much safer than qfil since on qfil, you need to be sure it doesn't get intercepted or disturbed by other apps while flashing. Hence, this method is much more recommended.
