Hello, thanks for the tutorial. Btw you can make geolocation and even tracking turning back on google maps... By selecting on Maps timeline than saying this phone doesnt track etc. but when you go to warning acctually there is option just select this device... And after that it will show.

Wondering if emui 12,and maybe android 12 doesnt support in dev options Force Dark Mode can we do it with ADB,or if thats been removed from developer options you cant add it back with ADB? I do have the normal dark mode already selected, but for example TikTok to achive dark mode,you need to have Force Dark Mode on android as option...

3rd thing is kinda frustrating can we somehow achive to get Play Certification?

At this point everything should work, including notifications, without any kind of error.

If updating any app shows an error you can simply reactivate the Google Services Framework, reset Google Play Services to version 21.24.56 and download the updated app from the Play Store, then repeat the steps in the guide to get updated notifications and Google Play Services back.

Mate 30 pro EMUI 12 12.0.0.325 (latest)
This method worked for me on play service 20.21.17 updated to 23.24.14 (100400-544099984)

Play store works
Push notification works
Location in gmaps does not work if not connected to wifi
EDIT : After a reboot and reinstalling maps, works after the "turn on device location" popups.
EDIT 2 : I think this works only if you reboot in airplane mode. If device reboots without airplane mode location is lost, further testing needed
EDIT 3 : Location in maps works only if you have GSF ID
EDIT 4 : Tried this method again after switching google accounts, now i have no GSF ID and maps is not showing location at all, not even the grey dot.

Follow the guide in OP, uninstall google account manager, then follow this guide
Notification works, maps/other apps using maps works, no play service notification

- Google Sound Search
- The "Hey Google" feature in Google Assistant

Procedure:
- Using one of the systems suggested in @badmania98's guide login to your google account and update Google Play Services to version 21.24.56 so that you can access the Play Store.
- Download all the apps you need and login (necessary! Especially in banking apps)
- Download the Aurora Store apk
- Enable USB Debugging and download the adb platform tools from the following link:

- Plug in the cable and set the airplane mode.
- Open the console inside the folder contained in the archive and enter the following commands:



- After that go to Settings -> App -> App -> Show System Processes -> Google Account Manager -> Archive -> Clear Data

- Disable airplane mode and via Aurora Store update Google Play Services to the latest version and the rest of the Google apps.

At this point everything should work, including notifications, without any kind of error.

It''s pretty clear in the tutorial that you have to disable the airplane mode before doing the updates.


I did the tutorial and so far everything is working fine with GMS 23.33.16 and Maps 11.94.0303.
