We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.

First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.

On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.

You may post.
This ROM was tested under the following conditions:
1. Wipe/Factory reset
2. Flash ROM, Gapps, SuperSU, in that order
Any other conditions may cause problems

This is the first build, there may be issues that I didn't test for, but major functionality is OK.

Is it possible to use the latest 7-11-17 kk_bl.img with this rom? It is from mosimchah from his AICP rom and includes the latest changes. I would like to give Paranoid a try but as you know I'm still locked on the old bootloader.

I highly doubt it

I just made this: PA_KK_BL_kernel.zip. Try it, flash after rom+gapps and before supersu. I haven't tested it so I can't guarantee it does work.

Okay, guys!
Short review!
I've tested the rom for a few days now and so far it is rock stable. All works fast and smooth and battery seems on par with AICP/LOS/RR.:highfive:
I'm missing a lot of features like more quick settings tiles, more customizable navbar, statusbar center clock and so on... :crying:
It's almost like stock android with another browser, calender and music app and theming options, which I've not tried yet.
I know, it's an early build but I need too much of additional apps to get the missing features back, so I'll switch back to my prefered rom for now.
Maybe when more features are added and the rom is more like PA in 2014/15 was....but it is a start!:good:

ROM Looks Tasty

I'm always up for a port that tries a new direction and this seems to do that. All my tests with new ROMS is always full format and wipe, running current stable TWRP, LP BOOTLOADER, etc. It looks like this work runs plain Super SU without Magisk, and you indicate open gapps. Could I use magisk at all? And I find the BEANS Gapps to be more reliable.
Not to pry, but where are you focusing now for these versions? Are you still going to keep up with the big changes that PA brings, or work further with Oreo developement?
Either way, I'd like to give this one a run just for fun.
Thanks as always for your work that keeps my tabs, and my wife very happy. ;DeanoD

I missed something here; I have Prime kernel on all my units. Is it essential to switch to the Lineage Kernel that you provide? Always curious about inter-compatibility with such things to keep it working well.
With that said, I need an updated to my TWRP version. In which order to flash TWRP, KERNEL, ROM, AND SUPERUSER. (Or TWRP, ROM, MAGISK- or is that asking for trouble? Thaks again. ;-DeanD

Solid ROM. Nice, Simple, Clean

I flashed this ROM last night, and so far, I'm very impressed. While it lacks some of the bells and whistles from the RR build, it has a solid feel to it. Speed and performance are great as well. Other than a slight keyboard lag, this could work well as a daily driver on my stable of three smp600 units. I started with one, found one online when my wife wanted one, and then I got another for backup (and tinkerin') . While the ROM flashed perfectly, the suggested kernel was a bust. But, the build is I think more robust than the other's I've tried. I do miss having a recents menu, and I haven't been able to find any pie controls. I'm glad that I was scouring the forums and found this gem. Great Work! ;-DeanoD

"Official Devices"?

I'm interested about the improved pie controls listed under the features of this ROM.
I could not find them. I'm guessing that my smp 600 is somehow not an "Official Device" for this ROM. Just curious. ;-DeanoD

With all apparent development at a standstill for all of there great ROMS from the crew here at XDA, I suspect that there are others like me who are having withdrawal symptoms. Dare I say that XDA further spoils us because we reap the benefits of ROM developments A LOT faster here than we would otherwise get from the OEMS. I still cringe when I see an ad for a "new" android device running VERSION 5! Then they put so much effort into the next new devices.
All I can say or offer is my sincere praise for the people here BEHIND the ROMS. But, can anyone PLEASE offer some glimmer of hope that all is not completely dead with our SMP600 just yet. And, if anyone needs testers, I am ready to run with any of the roughest draft ROMS. This one seemed to start with a great starting point and then just stopped. Any news at all? ;-DeanoD

So far I like the ROM it feels solid. I use my tablet for drawing mostly and I'm finding that palm rejection is not working. The apps that I use are Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and Adobe Photoshop sketch. Anyone else seem to be having this issue?

Yeah, I'm also having the same issue, on stock palm was rejected when the pen was recognized, that doesn't happen here unfortunately. Couldn't get my LeftureNotes app to work no matter what I chose for palm rejection. Otherwise great ROM!
