Just one word: thanks :)
It's just fantastic... now my note 10.1 is perfect :)
Just one thing... if the tab is switched off, there is no animation... the screen stays black and I have seen that is normal (no animation in this rom)... but is difficult to see if the tab is charging or it's fully charged. I know (and that's what I do) we can charge it on standby... but it's not the same ;). Is it possible to improve that (the animation on power off)? Thanks and have a nice day!

It seem pretty fast to me maybe faster than Nougat. I just flashed it so it's still in the new phase. I have to wait and see over time if it will start to slow down and lag.

Yery nice ROM! Thank you! How can I enable the Flipboard page? I know that most of you hate it, but I am one of the the few ones who enjoys it... I already tried downloading the Flipboard App, but it doesn't change anything (or I didn't found the setting for it).

I'm missing something here, I've downloaded the files, put them on sd card. Turn on tablet with volume down, and power button. It asks me if a really want odin mode, and I hit volume up for yes, and it just say downloading. I get no options for which image file, to load, or to wipe partitions. Tablet is in developer mode. The install instructions in this thread are about as clear as mud. Unfortunately I can't remember what i did 12months ago when I rooted the other tablet like this one, and it was literally a 10 min process, if not less. Tablets are identical, bought at same time...

You have to press Volume up while holding down the Power button to get into recovery mode. If you have not installed a custom recovery yet, you will have to do so now for installing the ROM. There are plenty of tutorials here on XDA as well as at the whole internet how to install a custom recovery.

Getting into recovery isn't the issue, the issue is loading the rom, and twrp. Last time I did this(12, 18 months ago, on the other P600) it was easy peasy nice cheesey. like 4 steps:

1 download rom to sd card
2 insert card into slot and boot to recovery
3 wipe old rom
4 load new

All the tutorials I find now for marshmallow, or nougat leave alot of details out. Example one of them says "load files to device" ok great, where do they need to go on the device, and how do i get them to do their thing when they're on the device?

I've done this before, and I'm confident I can do it again(my note 4 may be next, as its now paid for, and I hate the bloatware) but if I can't find the super easy path of least resistance like I did last time I did this on my other P600, it'll be about as much fun as a root canal:eek:

That's how to do it:
1. In TWRP, click on wipe
Hit advanced wipe
Check Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System
Swipe to wipe
2. Now click on install in TWRP
You should see a Label saying Storage: Internal Storage. Click on it.
Now select your SDCard and hit OK
At the left navigate to your file containing the ROM. Files will appear on the right.
Click on it and swipe to confirm flash
3. Wait for the installation to finish, then reboot the device.
First boot may take a while

Notice that you might need to use the SPen in Recovery (at least I have to). I am using TWRP v2.8.7.0. Ensure that you are using Lollipop bootloader. To determine which one you have, simpley boot up your device and look at the bootlogo. If there is a label at the bottom stating powered by Android, you have the lollipop bootloader. Otherwise install lollipop first via Samsung Kies or SmartSwitch. Odin might only flash the Lollipop ROM, but not the Bootloader.

I understand first boot may take awhile, the first issue I'm having is getting TWRP to install. I follow the instructions for that to the letter, and no dice. Tablet reboots after I get the success message in ODIN pc app, and I shut the tablet off, and reboot to recovery, and it is still stock recovery.

Ok, so just to make sure: Bootloader: Power + Volume down, Recovery: Power + Volume up. I used Odin3 v3.10. There I selected AP and then flashed TWRP.
