I feel for you folks and Verizon users, but if you really want root most likely the only way is to sell your devices, get a WiFi model and a mobile hotspot. Over a year later and several thousand dollars in pledges and the popular Note 4 from AT&T was never rooted, nor was the Verizon variant which also received several thousand dollars in pledges. I have no clue if the locked boot loaders on the Note pros are locked up as tight as the Note 4 but given the age of this device and lack of interest in development for it things look very very grim.

I knew buying in that root was a long shot so I went with WiFi and carry a unite pro hotspot. So glad that I did; just as I'm glad that I bought a Note 4 from T-Mobile and unlocked it for use on AT&T. It sucks to have to go to these lengths but it is what it is. I view the unclaimed high bounties as an indication of the sad reality that the days of rooting US carrier versions of devices are nearly gone, and while I'm satisfied with AT&T coverage in my area the way things are going with boot loader locking I'll likely never buy another android device from them again. I just hope that T-Mobile never follows the others.

I wish you folks luck though.

Downgrade to KK

Yep... I downgraded back to Kitkat so I could root and install Xposed. Feels so good to have control again.
I guess you went back to AND7? ANK2 would not root for me. Did you leave it on AND7 or upgrade after root?
Mine was having random reboot problem on lollipop. No reboots after returning to ANK2. Glad to have it stable, but miss having a rooted device. Do I have to downgrade all the way back to AND7, root and debloat to stay rooted?

Yes, I'm on ND7, no i didn't upgrade from there and yes, I used the debloat script to prevent OTAs.

I finally got it done this morning.

Have you been having any trouble with random reboots? My tablet was pretty stable on lollipop. Now it'll randomly reboot when I start up some apps/games or whenever I plug it into my computer.

I wanna play with Xposed, since there's no telling when we'll see root/roms for this thing and I havent had a new rom to play with since jellybean on my S4, but ehhhhh...................

I was having a bunch of reboots, but after I accepted Knox into my heart lol it stopped. When you started supersu did you allow it to kill Knox?
I was thinking that's what it was. But after it blue screening on me twice, I lost patience and went back to stock lollipop.

I may give it another shot. Who knows.

Hey Danilynne -

I've been watching this thread since you started it hoping that a 5.1.1 root would come along. Now, with ads growing more frequent and bigger, I'm thinking of downgrading to 4.2.2 to enable root.

Is that where you are with yours now? How's it working? My 907A - 5.1.1 with Nova Launcher is awesome and very stable. Is it worth it to downgrade to KitKat to root? Is it stable?

I have rooted Note 3 and 4. It's kills me I can't root the 907A. The 12.2 is great tablet and I can't ever see growing out of it.

I got so fed-up with the AT&T Note 12.2, I bought a Wifi only Note 12.2 on eBay which I rooted with Lollipop on it. But I'd still like to root the AT&T Pro.
