Hey Danilynne -

I've been watching this thread since you started it hoping that a 5.1.1 root would come along. Now, with ads growing more frequent and bigger, I'm thinking of downgrading to 4.2.2 to enable root.

Is that where you are with yours now? How's it working? My 907A - 5.1.1 with Nova Launcher is awesome and very stable. Is it worth it to downgrade to KitKat to root? Is it stable?

I have rooted Note 3 and 4. It's kills me I can't root the 907A. The 12.2 is great tablet and I can't ever see growing out of it.

I got so fed-up with the AT&T Note 12.2, I bought a Wifi only Note 12.2 on eBay which I rooted with Lollipop on it. But I'd still like to root the AT&T Pro.
I haven't been on it in a while, my daughter has taken over it, but everything is still the same, rooted on 4.4.2:silly:

Any changes in root tech for this? it's 2017 now.

I've been watching all of the threads on XDA in regards to this tablet (907A), for what feels like forever, and have not managed to get past the Knox issue or the locked bootloader. Currently I'm fairly rusty on this stuff as I gave up a while back on rooting this tablet, but I'm still interested in making it happen. Does anyone know of any links from Samsung or AT&T that serve the purpose of unlocking the bootloader, like how HTC provided their own links to do that via a code even though it voids warranty & such? I've tried all the known variant methods to root this with terminals, ODIN, scripts, stock flash's and managed to not trip knox flags but just no success to root on (BOH3). Honestly, I just don't understand how Knox circumvents attempts to change stuff on the fly on the device. Knox tech on this particular tablet seems different from other devices that have knox since there are no interaction menus/apps while the os is on like in other devices that have options to turn it off, etc.

I mainly use this tablet as a "would be" wacom tablet synthesizer to get stylus use out of my desktop with pressure sensitivity since I work heavily with Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro, Maya, and Zbrush. All I'm missing is root for an app to allow screen mirroring the desktop onto the tablet so I don't have to look at the desktop monitor (40' TV) while actually drawing on the tablet screen. Basically, an imitation of an actual Wacom Cintiq screen.

Well, I've been using my P907a for awhile now. It came with Lollipop 5.11 installed. Then I found out that it couldn't be pushed any further. Even so, it's still a great tablet and outshines just about anything out there for most things. Yes I wish it could have been rooted, but it looks like, unless Samsung decides to make a better tablet than this, that this was the tablet that was, and is still, the best of the best.

At the moment I've got a T-Mobile Sim in it and am not a bit unhappy. If a clear path could be reached to root and bring it up to Oreo, it would be tempting, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I love this thing. It still runs circles around the Surface Pro, and even with IOS 11, the IPad Pro doesn't hold a candle to it. Yes, those other tablets may have newer hardware, but overall my Note Pro beats the bejabbers out of both of them.
