As many of you may already know, PAC recently updated our source to the latest CM. In doing so, many bugs have been fixed, but also many of the features you have grown to love on PAC have yet to be updated. While this is going on, I will be making builds periodically, to test these features. If you want to be involved in this testing process, you have come to the right place!

I will post the builds on my AndroidFileHost account, to keep them from getting mixed in on Basketbuild.

Please report any bugs you have and I'll report them up higher.

Thank you in advance for your help in this process!

The objective of this thread is to test features that are CURRENTLY IN the rom, not ***** about ones that are missing. If it turns into that, I'll just stop posting my builds.

So, what I'm looking for people to do, is poke and prod the rom as much as possible. Test whatever features you can find, that type of thing. ALSO, if you had any major bugs in the past, test to see if they still exist now. If they do, let me know how to reproduce and if I can, I'll report it up.

Thanks for the help and understanding!

OK so far..

1.. Netflix... Its working without the need of framework.. That's big!!

2. Play services seems to have that battery issue, does this build have that aokp play services fix?

3. Bluetooth NFC services are running even when Bluetooth is toggled off.. Same with omni switch.. Services running for few other things that are turned off.. Same with cyanogenmod account services.. Tbh not sure if that can be resolved though..

4. Like the new settings interface, clean..

Minor stuff

Initial setup is welcome to CM, I guess its based on CM so... It also asks location settings twice.. Default wallpaper is also CM.. Like I said minor things I noticed..

Max frequency is set to 1958… not sure if that's meant to be..

For those that wanted to help test but not sure if it has your favorite feature.. Here is a list of what's in it, if not here don't ask and like he said don't ***** about it..

As of 26th
Netflix fix
Omniswitch
Lock screen notifications
Voice+
Themes
Notification settings
Status bar settings
Recents panel settings
App privacy settings
PAC panel
Hover
Better performance and stability along with battery life.

New build is up. Includes Hover.

Also, please read post #2, it's kind of a quick idea of what I'm trying to accomplish.

Thanks everyone!
Getting an error when trying to flash the 27th.. Can't open zip file..

Aside that definitely more stable now.. No FCs.

Yeah, #1 was a big one for me, lol.

#2, I'm not familiar.

Max freq, hmm. I use a custom kernel, so I didn't test that. Are you on a clean flash? No apps possibly messing with something? If so, can someone else confirm this for me?

As for the 27th build, bad download? If not I'll check the file from my end.

Heya.. I was on PA so I did clean factory flash and then wipe.. I always prefer to test stock kernel to help out better.

I downloaded it three times.. Same error..

Play services drain battery more since 4.3 so aokp had a fix for it as of 17… I assumed it might be in.. Then I realized you guys relocated from CM.. Doh..

Mine doesn't seem to be excessive. I'd say let run for a day or so and if it's still high, then Idk, lol. Which GAPPS did you use?

That is excessive... Hahaha.. I use PA_gaps but problem is services..

Basically is a service within Google play services that keeps running.. Disabling location and awake, along with keep awake under privacy\advanced \play services, resolves it without negative consequences.. Improves your battery considerably.. Almost 30%..

Aokp recently fixed it.. Disabling nlp location reporter service with service Disabler app is also a good fix..

But obviously these are temporary.. But with these changes I get 6 hours of SOT.. Before I was barely getting 3 hours..

This is based on CM/CAF right? So why doesn't have it the lags which are present on CM itself? For example while playing hill climb racing on CM the movement hangs/stutters sometimes. On stock ROM and on this one it's good.

Hmm, I'll have to try that myself and see what happens. Could you explain more about the disabling location and awake? You don't lose location stuff?

Yeah. Because PAC is awesome. =p

Lol, jk. Not sure though.

Working perfectly fine!! Hover is awesome to say the least.. Is it your doing or did they finally add it?
Zeeshan is the person who ported it over to PAC, but it has yet to be merged.... I'm just picking it still. (I can't live without Hover....) There are a few code layout issues that remain, and I think I'm going to try to work on some tonight. No promises though.

Its something that got added with 4.3 that makes play services check your location every second to report it to Google apps. Problem is it keeps running in the background.. It doesn't alter anything at all when you disable keep awake or location.. No FCs or apps breaking down or anything.. Like I said its a temporary fix but it works.. Been doing it for awhile now with zero consequences..

Same with disabling services for it.. There is a thread here somewhere shows which google play services services are safe to disable with service Disabler app.. I highly suggest it, it improves your battery life considerably. N5 was awesome before 4.3 and this basically takes it back to that, right before play services update..

Aokp just updated their sources with a fix for it on 17th, and I tested it, was working fine..

Hover is awesome, but it's awesome rrr with peek.. ;)
