Hmm permissive fixed indeed the camera, but I can't launch any game or Snapchat, so this build is just ATM not good enough... I hope the Paranoid Android team can fix this build quickly because everything else just works good. And I love pie so much haha

We are launching brand spanking fresh. All new features. New team members. New everything and we have made sure that everything that we are releasing has been polished to our best.

A lot went into this version of Paranoid Android, specially on the CAF side (OnePlus / Non-nexus devices). We ship with custom in-house kernels tweaked to provide the best power-battery combo, new functionalities and designs for hardware-specific options like the alert slider and advanced controls just for OnePlus devices - so feel pretty.

The main features and enhancements that you will probably end up noticing are our custom Quick Settings tile reordering functionality, floating window support, immersive mode, the new on-the-spot interface and CM Theme Engine. There's much more to come, so sit tight!

As we're getting back into the thread game, keeping up with threads and updating them as per changelogs can be too hectic given our schedule. However, very detailed changelogs always go up on our Google+ page, follow us for constant updates!

    Instructions & requirements

We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.

Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano and Banks GAPPS work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_bacon_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the GAPPS package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, do not do anything else.
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM & GAPPS. Meaning, do not flash anything like a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

As always, we listen to what you have to say. Help us make PA better by submitting good bug reports possibly with a log attached. Learn how to take logs here. Submit bug reports and we'll try to iron out issues as soon as possible - it really helps a lot.

Mention me if you need any assistance and/or when reporting bugs or if you just wanna chat.

if you look at their github, they are still pretty active. Cant say for other devices, but opo's kernel are being updated time to time. i think that updates are on the way given the vendor file just got updated :D
We are still doing a lot of internal development, much of which takes place on our private git repos, especially for features. We are far from dead, don't worry.

Thanks, i saw the recent comments. People are still finding way hard to flash it.
    Hey everybody,

I apologize for the lack of communication from my end. It's been a very busy time for me lately with two jobs, school, and some family health issues. With Nougat out (Qualcomm hasn't released their fork just yet on CAF, but it will be out early next week most likely), Marshmallow development is winding down. While it does appear that Snapdragon 801 will not officially be supported by Qualcomm any longer, there is some hope that binaries are compatible, as the Nexus 5 has a mostly-working build. We will do what we can to support this device and chipset as long as is feasible, but at some point, the existing binaries will stop working. Depending on resources and how much effort is required to get the Snapdragon 801 SoC working on Nougat (which we can't really know until CAF releases), it is possible that the OnePlus One and OnePlus X will not be supported on our first Nougat release. However, once our platform is stable, device support will be higher priority and I would be surprised if the OnePlus One was not supported by us in Nougat.

Again, I apologize for not communicating well. If you do need me for something, Hangouts is generally the best way.

@xboxfanj good to have you back. Due to fast charging and ADB still not working and the low in-call volume I had to go back to Sultan's ROM for the time being. If you could tell me if next official PA build won't require a full wipe, I would be glad to do a full wipe now while I have the time and try your volume mod and report back. But if next build also requires full wipe due to changes (I suppose there would be plentiful having in mind you guys went silent for 5 weeks), I might not be able to spend that much time doing full wipes twice in a short period and tinker with everything from scratch, gonna be leaving abroad soon and still got ****loads of stuff to do about it.

Charging and call volume will be fixed. ADB has always worked for me, so I can't confirm that it will work for you yet. Next build should be out tomorrow.

I sure hope ColorOS, even though I'll live using either.

ColorOS most likely. It may miss the next official build, but as soon as I have it working well, I will put a link in the thread. Progress was fairly limited on the X and One in the last few weeks, as I have been trying to get a few other devices up to speed (Robin and 1+3). Now that those are mostly working, I will have more time to devote to the existing devices.
