Whats meant with
Need to use Multirom TWRP from M5
Sorry, during the development and bringing AOSPA-L to Z2 I had issues using TWRP straight from Dees_Troy and had recovery working when I used the modified Multirom version from Myself5. I can now confirm 2.8.6.0 is working.

Sorry for the confusion. [Updated OP]

Same on latest cm12.1 builds... Has something to do with the mixer paths i think... You could try to Flash the "Stereo mod" from the dev section.
Works on Stock based, dont know if it Works with aosp.

Yeah device code is based off CM so those bugs may be present. Myself and another AOSPA-L Dev haven't experienced the issue but I'll look into fixing for next release.

Keep the bug reports coming. Better we get things sorted sooner :)

Okay, thanks a lot for looking into it! I also experienced it with CM 12.1 by infected_. I'm going to go to stock and see if that fixes it
bug is there also on official builds... its something on the CM12 shinano repos , according to @cdesai .. we have been all week trying to figure it out, but no luck so far.

maybe @tomgus1 have better luck looking at it :)

this should work on a locked bootloader correct? I cant remember what kernel is used or if I have to bake my own aosp with sony's kernel
This ROM requires an UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER as with all custom ROMs like AOSP, CyanogenMod etc..
