Hey, are google apps pre-installed? If yes, is there a way to completely wipe them all before booting, in TWRP?
Thanks

unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped

Just got the 1+3 and right out of the box I tried to flash pa rom. After flashing com.android.phone keeps crashing.
I have tried:
- formatting userdata via fastboot
- formatting everything via twrp
- used no gapp / used opengapps / used banks gapps

Nothing seems to work. What am I missing?

I've never used PA before. How easy is the update manager? Would I be able to update then just simply reflash gapps and be good to go? Or does it have to be clean every time?

I think the OTA update function isn't implemented yet. But you could DirtyFlash the ROM

This seems to be a problem on many ROMS. Not a lot of chime in though. I posed a question in the dirty unicorns thread about possible radio firmware... most people when they received the phone updated, then unlocked the bootloader, etc... can you tell me what baseband you are running? Then if someone who can get it to boot post theirs as well? Wondering if there were changes immediately that haven't been released yet to allow the phone to function.

I'm running...

I reflashed OS 3.1.3 and checked for updates. I did't get any. I have tried to reflash this rom many times and 3 other ones and all get this error at boot.
Baseband is the same as yours. MPSS.TH.2.0.c1.9-00004-M8996fAAAANAZM-1.52383.5.5448.15 . Build number A3000_16_160612.

I am also unable to get mobile data to work. But I am reading this is an issue with ATT not having the hardware in their system. This shouldn't cause the roms to error, but figured more info is better.
Would any logs help to solve this? let me know which ones and I will get them.

Unfortunately I am not a dev. A few years back I started down the dev road, but kids and work have squashed my dreams ATM. There is a logcat posted from @Ventigo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=67418271.

I'm just curious if the device tree has an old firmware version in it and needs to be updated. Hoping someone else posts here that is working and we can track down if this is the culprit. I can't get a single ROM to get past this phone.android.com message.[emoji37]

As far as the AT&T data, mine is working just fine. I have both T-Mobile and AT&T Sims and both can pull data. Maybe just the area your in?

I'm in the exact same situation with roms but I have lte working on att.

After installing twrp my phone or backups wouldn't boot.

OS 3.1.3 is the only one that works.

Guys you need to format userdata over fastboot to get Paranoid working.

Whilst that may work I found you can do a 'format data' from the wipe menu in TWRP, essentially doing the same thing but without using fastboot. Oh, I used open gapps.

Is it possible/recommended to restore Apps via Titanium Backup after setting up the Rom? Or is there anything that can damage the device while doing that?
