Unfortunately I am not a dev. A few years back I started down the dev road, but kids and work have squashed my dreams ATM. There is a logcat posted from @Ventigo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=67418271.

I'm just curious if the device tree has an old firmware version in it and needs to be updated. Hoping someone else posts here that is working and we can track down if this is the culprit. I can't get a single ROM to get past this phone.android.com message.[emoji37]

As far as the AT&T data, mine is working just fine. I have both T-Mobile and AT&T Sims and both can pull data. Maybe just the area your in?

I had the same problem. I seem to have fixed it by going into settings and forcing data network to use 3g leaving settings browsing Web, then going into settings again and choosing LTE.

It keeps saying 'unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped' after bootup.
Tried it with Banks.
What's up?

Did you ever get this working? What was your solutoin. Just got my OP3. Unlocked, installed TWRP, and then flashed this ROM with Banks-GAPPS. Keep getting "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped". It will not recognized that my AT&T sim card is inserted either.

Can you share your solution? Thanks.

Same here. I've tried full wipes (also formatting userdata from fastboot and formatting it via TWRP) , different gapps, and I get the same result. Some people seem to be able to get it to work, but either I can't seem to find the right flash sequence, or there's something else going on.

Is it possible/recommended to restore Apps via Titanium Backup after setting up the Rom? Or is there anything that can damage the device while doing that?

Damage the Device, no!
Might affect stability, yes!

However, I always use TB to restore my Apps. Be careful on system settings and apps with push services like Whatsapp

I'm trying to eliminate all possibilities here. I tried just installing the rom and the GAPPS - no SUPERSU. I was thinking that the root program may be causing the instability, but nope. Evern without the SuperSu app, I still get that error. I tried installing without any sim card inserted, since the rom is not seeing the sim account anyway, but still getting the error. I have wiped and wiped via fastboot and via twrp and have tried many different versions of the GAPPS, but still getting the error. I'm at a loss as to what could be the issue here???

Not sure if you tried this already, but try installing without GAPPS, boot to ROM, then install GAPPS?

You might want to pull a logcat via adb; that will help us figure out the issue.

Not sure if this works since I'm back on OOS, but try installing without GAPPS, boot to ROM, then install GAPPS?
Thanks....tried that too -still the same "com.android.phone error". And each time I hit OK to the error, it just comes right back, preventing me from doing anything at all with the device.

It's the strangest thing, really. I haven't done anything to this phone except take it out the packaging....LOL!!! Never even tasted the Oxygen OS that was preloaded on it. Guess I'll have to sit this one out, and wait on the sidelines until the next iteration of PA comes out.

Thanks for all the help here!!

I get the "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" error too. I tried fastboot format userdata and that didn't work either. I also have AT&T and don't get LTE for some reason only H or H+.

The LTE issue is with AT&T and not the phone or the roms. I had this issue also and had to get ATT to fix it on my account.
Here is what I did to fix it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67429748&postcount=29

I think I figured out why the com.android.phone is crashing. The baseband is showing as unknown after flashing this rom.

Flashing CM13 and stock rom do not give this issue.

I agree I did not have the "com.android.phone" error on any of the CM ROM's I have tried or flashing back to stock. I had a similar issue back when I had a Nexus 5 but cannot remember what the issue/fix was.

But of course what i really want is Android Auto to work with this thing. ;)
