It has been 7 days since I have installed this ROM on my OPX. My Review of this ROM is as below:
- Apps response is good and switching between apps is smooth.
- Battery backup of the device is good as stock ROM
- UI of the ROM is clean and I like it very much.
- While playing music with earphone on, sometimes device does not delivery sounds to earphone and I have to restart the device in order to listen to music through earphones.
- The device switches off when left for charging for longer hours.
- Gestures do not respond every time.
- The earphone issue never happened to me, can't say.
- The device switches off due to kernel panic, which is fixed now. (Note: SuperSU 2.80+ may also cause kernel panics.)
- Gestures do work perfectly. The few times might be when you cover proximity sensor ( by mistake obviously ). That's done to prevent accidental gestures while phone is on your pocket, etc.

The Gestures really worked after a reboot, thank you.
However, I could not get voice recognition and Keyboard Settings to work at all. But as I said, launching the Google Assistant manually is okay for me and for the Keyboard I simply decided to install the SwiftKey Keyboard.
There are two more things that I noticed:
1. Yesterday, my loudspeaker would not be used while watching YouTube. Instead the Sound would come out the the earpiece Speaker. This Problem could be resolved by rebooting the phone.
2. My phone does not Charge fully anymore. The last two Mornings when getting up, the phone was charged exactly 98%. Is this intended?

Apart from that I really like the launcher!

Thanks for the clarification. I wouldn't have thought that OTA updates would be possible. Great!
Will check about the google assistant and keyboard thing myself and will report to RJ.
The other to issues are kinda weird, totally abnormal. You didn't flash any other kernel, did you?

I've had the earphone issue too, quite a few times actually.
I'm not sure what that could be about, but I've had a bit of a rocky activation of my Google account, cause I had 2step verification activated and wasn't getting the notification for the confirmation text message (probably because I installed gapps that included Google messenger?) so I could configure my account only later.
Can't provide a logcat as of now, cause I'm working away from home and have very little time off, but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with the audio issue and I would urge anyone experiencing the same to grab a logcat!

Yep, logcat would be the only thing to help!

I checked Gerrit but couldn't find anything regarding to that issue. Could you kindly point to the patch or explain a bit what was causing this as I'm very interested in development. Also there seems to be a lot going on on Gerrit so I'm really excited about the next update :D
I force push CVEs and it fit the description. There's a lot of stuff I fixed between releases. But in short, all this does is grant proper access to subthreads through the procfs node. Typically this is accessed through a daemon like sys_ptrace which in turn communicates with other services such as perfd (I don't ship perfd or mpdecision... Just an example) to send usage statistics. In the case of SafetyNet, if these subthreads get denied then the cmdline can't properly remove the flags using a module so its as /proc/cmdline never even existed. Here is more info on it. Its a really interesting read:

I can't replicate it but I'll be sure to look into it with logs

Hi guys, thanks for a great ROM and keeping Onyx alive!

Do you know if it is somehow possible to set single click for the left button to open application menu? I have found only the option to set custom double clicks in the settings.
Is this possible in the new release?

Hello, I am having trouble installing the 7.2.0 version. After a full wipe, the install seems to succeed, showing only two unknown command errors. After rebooting I only see the OnePlus logo and nothing happens for 10 minutes or more.

Version 6.0.2 installs and runs fine.

Are there any logs I can provide that would help investigate the issue? How can I get them off the device? Also, does it matter what version of TWRP is used?
Thanks in advance! I would really like to give this ROM a try.

The MM version is for an older bootloader. OnePlus updated it when they gave OOS (MM) update.
To use the N build, you need to upgrade your bootloader.
Use the following guide :

Thanks to @matwaking !

As my device is rooted, will I get OTA?
Yes :)

A lot of time went into this release. I hope you all enjoy it as I put countless days of nonstop work and testing into it (thanks to my private testing team too by the way. They are awesome!). I promise even more work from me in the future, and already, I have big escalations for our next release that were excluded from this one due to timing.

Sorry for asking such a stupid question, but I had flashed Arsenic on this ROM. So if I update through OTA, will I get the stock kernel back?
