What exactly do you mean by "it's faster"? What is faster? Launching apps? Switch between apps? Are apps themselves faster? Do you have any example that shows a big difference between stock and this ROM that I could time? I am on stock and nothing lags for me. Most apps starts instantly. Pressing home button in apps, returns to home screen instantly etc. I want to know what people mean when they say faster than instant

You think it's enough that the phone starts up? I think most people would disagree. If my signal is unstable or weak. GPS takes ages to lock on or is not accurate. Audio is of bad quality and/or unable to change volume. Camera crashes or gives worse quality. If any of these things are not working, your phone is crippled and I (and many others) would go mad when you are outside and trying to use a phone that is giving you issues. Switching back and forth between ROMs like you mention is also a huge issue. Needing to reinstall stuff or syncing all settings, SMS etc takes a long time. Having backups of 100ds of apps is also a huge hassle and space wasting.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's great that we have these custom ROMs, but please don't state things like "everything is working perfectly" when it is not true. There should be a list of current reported issues and a ROM should not be regarded as stable until all issues has been fixed and no new ones have been reported in X number of days. Why is there not a list of reported issues in a sticky post at the top for example? I have wasted many days trying our ROMs in the past, just to almost always discover random bugs after a few days and needing to go back to stock ROM. It's annoying and makes me less prone to try custom ROMs in the future. Feel free to ignore my post, but I think these things should be addressed for the sake of the community.

Agree on the point that we need better handling.
Roms should have build instructions and issue trackers and version stability.

Currently we get magical zips and a repo for which it's not known if it contains all we need. And to the comments about this comment. => if it's easy, please provide instructions in my new thread about building instructions

since this morning, impossible to download app on playstore: error code 495.
I tried to delete the cache, delete the data, disable and activate without success.
I decided to delete my google account but keep the message: "Your administrator does not allow this change"!

No the paranoid rom is not rooted default.. You need too flash supersu or magisk

Didn't know that the ROM is not rooted. But that makes no difference, because the first think I did was installing Magisk (Love the youtube app without add). That means it is rooted.

As far as I can see, you puted kind of your app in to super user? Can I open the "capacaitive buttons" app with Magisk? Don't know at this point how to use Magisk for the "capacaitive buttons" app.

i dont know what happen i was using my phone and suddenly i was seeing the red and blue line in my lcd and now its un useable
i was using paranoid rom can you all tell me if i replace the lcd the phone will be fine

Hello World,

Me again. After my first attempt at porting a fully working ROM, or what I tought was fully functional in my opinion, I now ported Paranoid Android, aka the greatest custom ROM for stability, to our X722 ZL0 Elite or however you decide to call it.

You'll see that in PA, everything just works and is super smooth. Even the two simcard slots do work.
You will see that in some things the phone gets reffered to as te X720. Will fix in a later build.

I've tested this build two days and everything works, even Bluetooth calling in BMW 2017 Professional navi !!

Installation procedure

1. Unlock bootloader. Best to be on 26S firmware, 20S will also work.
2. Install TWRP recovery (I used one specificly for the X722 by @CrisBalGreece). If you use a X720 TWRP image then you'll have to extract boot.img from the zip and flash it after flashing the ROM in fastboot. Please don't be stupid and report bugs while you aren't even flashing the damn boot img...
3. Wipe cache, dalvik and system (f reset)
4. Flash my ZIP (link below from google Drive)
5. Flash OpenGapps package of your choice for ARM64 Android 7.1
6. Wipe cache
7. Reboot and enjoy

Please note first boot shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes !

yes but you need to unlock bootloader and have TWRP recovery to flash this rom

Hi guys!
Sometimes when I try to unlock by fingerprinter its not working. Then I can unlock by pin number. And after about minute phone is auto rebooting but it cant stand up. It stuck on these four circles animation and I have to force off my device. Aftere that avrything is ok. But the situation repeat once a day.
Someone had it too? Or maybe do you now how to fix i? Thanks.

Hey I've flashed the rom and everything works great except from the camera, when i open the app a message pops up saying "can't connect to the camera"

Wifi loses internet connection

Hi,
thanks for this ROM which looks very promising. I do have one issue, though, which is quite annoying and which, I believe, has not been mentioned before (at least searching the thread did not turn up anything). After a while, my wifi loses the internet connection. When I switch to another wifi, it connects (i.e., it obtains an IP address), but says there is no internet access. I then have to reboot the phone and all works again (for some time, before I see this issue again ...).

Any ideas?

Can confirm this. Can't change the volume of the voice call. It's pretty loud and the person calling has a slight echo.
Furthermore camera isn't working. Trying the aforementioned fix now.

Would be cool to see a fix for the call volume though.
