I think I got the culprit responsible for causing bootloop whenever I try to flash a custom rom. Android Verified boot /DM verity was enabled. But I couldn't find any way to disable
it. Tried some universal dm verity disabler zip but caused my device to bootloop. Any help on this is appreciated

No, call recording does not work. Safetynet fails on Magisk 12.4 even after enabling Magisk Hide so it's a no go for me. Going back to OOS

EDIT : After manually setting the CTS profile as my phone (One Plus 8 Pro IN2021) , safetynet passes. Apparantly CTS profile is set to OnePlus 8 on this.

how did you do that ?

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.

On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.

Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.

We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

    You can donate here

    Device-specific issues
    Initial FOD related bugs.
    Auto brightness reversed.
    Dimensions are not perfect.

There are likely many other issues, these are just the most prominent to me. Don't come into this with the expectation any issue you come across will be fixed in a timely manner.

Note: Custom kernels are NOT supported unless the kernel says it supports PA and GMS is included!

    My preferred logging format is:
    adb logcat -b all -d *:E > logcat-err.log
    adb logcat -b all -d > logcat.log
    adb shell dmesg > dmesg.log

Then you can upload them to and send me the link for each one.

    Paranoid Recovery:
    • Apply update from ADB
    • "adb sideload"
    • Wipe userdata from recovery.
    • Reboot into system.

    Quartz 4.0.3 is released!

    Device specific changes
    • Updated CarrierConfig, I missed a lot of entries. Apparantly OnePlus splits them into two lists, merged them.
    • Made starting statusbar padding 0 for both 8 & Pro.
    • Introduced some new QTI components (audio, display, GPS).
    • Added ANT+ support.

Platform specific changes (Local changes I have going on, there's a ton more if you check what's been merged in Gerrit).
    • Only use Pixel fingerprint if it's a user build, it's going to fail SafetyNet either way if it's not so just use the real one.
    • Update GMS package to May 2020.
    • Enable adaptive brightness by default.
    • Cleanup properties.
Quartz 3.3.1 is out, please wipe data after installing this release.

Quite a bit has been changed.

    • Switched back to loading stock kernel modules.
    • Fixed auto brightness.
    • Fine tuned dimensions even more.
    • Override the access checks for a compatible system property.
    • Better init support for recovery. (AOSP Recovery)
    • Override density in init, so recovery is correct.
    • Messed around with 8Pro dimensions a bit, haven't tested at all and can't test.
    • Made brightness flashing with FOD slightly better.

I updated the installation instructions to account for most scenarios.
New update is out, quick list of changes.

    • 6/30 PA Sync
    • Enforcing SELinux.
    • Added some top status bar padding to align with cutout.
    • Added initial rounded corner dimens, not perfect but better than nothing.
    • Added TARGET_USES_PREBUILT_DYNAMIC_PARTITIONS for system/core and update engine hacks for prebuilt partitions. Local OTAs should now technically work. Also when the next TWRP build comes out I'll drop a TWRP zip here.

You can now flash the build with simply "fastboot update (zip)"
