We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.

On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.

Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

Device-specific issues
- You tell me.

Note: Custom kernels are NOT supported! It will most likely break DT2W, unless explicitly mentioned by the developer.

Requirements

Ginkgo users: Make sure you're on latest available 10.0 china firmware before flashing the ROM.
Willow users: Make sure you're on latest available stable firmware before flashing the ROM.

- IR Blaster
- MiSound enhancer
- Offline charging
- "HWC Fixed"
- etc.

What's broken?
- You tell me!

Q: Is MiuiCamera included with this ROM?
A: Yes, MiuiCamera ported from Mi A3 is included and offers the same looks and functionality as the stock MIUI 11 camera.

Q: Are all aux cams working as good as stock MIUI?
A: Yes.

Q: Help! Getting huge idle drain and CPU doesn't enter deepsleep at all.
A: Disable pocket detection and ambient display.

Q: Does this ROM or kernel have KCAL support?
A: Yes, kernel has KCAL support which can be tuned using any kernel manager app such as FKM.

Q: Do I need to use RAW_SENSOR with HDR+ in google camera mods?
A: No, RAW10 HDR+ and HDR+ enhanced works perfectly out of the box.

Q: How's the performance and battery backup?
A: Try it out yourself and be amazed ;)

Q: KCAL doesn't work? Nothing happens when I modify values.
KCAL works, you just need to toggle night mode twice for the changes to reflect. Recommended to use FKM.

Q: I'm getting real bad idle drain. Any suggestions?
A: You can try out a few things:
- Disable all ambient display features
- Disable pocket detection (important)
- Flash GMS doze magisk module
- Restrict battery for Google app
- Don't use google assistant
- Enable aggressive doze in Naptime app from playstore
- etc.

Q: ETA PL0X SUR
A: No ETAs, releases will be made in a monthly basis depending on changes made to the source.

Credits:
- All my loyal testers, a huge thanks!
- @mg712702 for initial device trees and contributions

thanks for your great work !

no format data is needed AFTER flashed the zip ?
:)

Sent from my Redmi Note 8T
No, if you format data after flashing ROM, features will go missing in anxcamera. Always format data before flashing ROM. Formatting data isn't mandatory either, just wiping system, vendor, data, cache and dalvik would be enough.

Q: Why's the ROM size 1.6GB? Is gapps included?
A: Yes, because of included gapps and anxcamera (nearly 200MB)

Q: Is ANXCamera included with this ROM?
A: Yes, ANXCamera v184 is included (thanks to aeonax), along with 48MP and portrait fix

Q: Are all aux cams working as good as stock MIUI?
A: Yes.

Q: 4k 30fps, video stabilization and few other options are missing in ANXCamera! What do I do?
A: Reflash ANXCamera 184 zip in magisk manager and reboot. DO NOT flash 48MPFix as it will break portrait mode.

Q: Help! Getting huge idle drain and CPU doesn't enter deepsleep at all.
A: Disable pocket detection and lift-to-check.

Q: Does this ROM or kernel have KCAL support?
A: Yes, kernel has KCAL support which can be tuned using any kernel manager app such as FKM. As a bonus, tianma panel users should have RGB set to 230 automatically in order to prevent retention.

Q: Do I need to use RAW_SENSOR with HDR+ in google camera mods?
A: No, RAW10 HDR+ and HDR+ enhanced works perfectly out of the box, so you can capture your precious astro shots in the night and not have purple tints in contrasted images ;)

Q: How's the performance and battery backup?
A: Try it out yourself and be amazed ;)

I'm feeling kinda dense here -- can anyone tell me how to enable advanced reboot? Couldn't find it under developer options... :/

Open the power menu(long press power button) and you will see restart button. Press and hold it and it will ask for enabling advanced reboot settings. Enable it and you will get advanced reboot menu when press and hold restart buttonç.
