Just to be clear these are the flashing steps right?
1. Boot to recovery (I'm using codeworks twrp),
2. Wipe system, dalvek, cache, data, etc,
3. Flash OOS beta 1 (android 10) ROM or H2OS beta (android 10) ROM,
4. Flash PA Q2 ROM,
5. Wipe dalvek and cache,
6. Flash magisk, etc,
7. Reboot to system.

I'm coming from Pixel Experience (Android 10).

I presume the new beta has the latest fw but belt and braces I would just flash H2OS as that's the recommended way.... Everything else looks ok..

I am having trouble getting it to boot on op5 cheeseburger, tried everything I can think of. But the device keeps getting stuck in "OnePlus logo powered by Android screen". Any suggestions as to what exactly do I try?

Small update from me... All is running great and better than pixel experience, had problems with dropped calls and not receiving calls at all in some cases...
The only thing I have noticed and this goes back to the good old days of PA, I'm in the UK my provider is BT but it reports EE which is the umbrella company.. No biggy but something I have noticed and like I say it's been present in PA for years...

Well I am using twrp 3.3.1 by codeworks (2019-07-13) Tried this rom while decrypted. Used the oos beta 1 firmware from shadowstep thread, used the h2os 056 firmware from crdroid thread. Also used another h2os firmware zip I had on my phone from other rom thread, but don't remember the origins. But all of them had me stuck at that screen.

Edit: my device is op5 cheeseburger

Get the official H2OS
OnePlus5THydrogen_43_OTA_057_all_2004201837_e53c01484d5f4a8b.zip
Flash that then wipe data and flash PA

Okay it's working now on cheeseburger, I did exactly like this in the 2019-07-13 codeworkx twrp
1) flash h2os official Full rom zip
2) wipe data partition
3) flash aospa rom zip
4) format data (one that clears internal storage and removes encryption)
5) rebooted
