Please leave a small review if you try it,I was loving the caf builds

It is pretty awesome, I downloaded the version with gapps included and my phone would not restore, my previous data, I decided to spend a few minutes setting it and installing my programs manually only to find that the device is play store uncertified.

I am sure that this is due to Gapps being pre-installed( maybe) However, there are other versions available on the Google drive link that is on the OP that do not include gapps, so that issue would likely not turn up, by using those builds. ( So I would bet that the trouble I experienced was my fault)

Next, because, I need my phone with data intact tomorrow morning, I will need to return to Miui tonight, I can restore it quickly with a backup..But I will definitely revisit this rom soon.

Overall Impression of my very brief experience
The OS is extremely smooth and quick, it reminds me a lot of the Pixel rom, the built in gestures are excellent and it is seemingly an overall great rom, minus the issue I mentioned.
The only thing that I found disappointing was the built in theme options, and lack of amazing wallpapers. ( Kind of what paranoid was known for in the past) I was expecting a lot of the old-school classic theming colors, and gorgeous customized wallpapers. But the feature list is more subdued like the Pixel. Although it doesn't really matter because I own some great substratum mods.

At the moment, this version of Paranoid, is more focused on the essentials and yet seemingly worth checking out. Just use the version without gapps.

Hey one question, I tried to install this rom,but I got an error that I need to update my firmware to 11.0.1 or newer, although I had the firmware from latest xiaomi eu 11.10, any ideas?also my twrp full restore was stopping at 19%< ever happened to you?

Yes, the instructions are referring to base firmware. ( the drivers and vendor) FYI, whenever, you flash a recovery Miui based rom, those things are not touched. To update via the rom you would use Mi-Flash or adb ( if you use mi-Flash be sure to uncheck the lock bootloader checkbox.

Another option is to update the base drivers manually by downloading the drivers firmware for whatever phone you own ( China or Global) from here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/dipper/
@yshalsager has already extracted firmware from the latest fastboot roms and built a flashable update so thanks to him.

Next, most of these recent roms already include the vendor, So there is not a real need to flash the Fstab vendor file.

However, if you do need to update it, remember to mount only the vendor and then flash the vendor file.

You can download vendor options here : https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/dipper/ ( Again choose the firmware for your device)

Why I am not seeing any release info on AOSPA's twitter feed for Mi8? Is there a plan to make this ROM official?

I tried this ROM on Mi9, and it is a very good ROM.

Unfortunately no, you would need to use a third party program to backup and restore your user data. Miui encrypts user data.

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.

On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.

Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

    Notice

As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.

We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.
