For what it's worth, I'm having the same issue on the 7/18 build of SatixOS4.2 which is Aosp based.
Thanks guys - appreciate the feedback. Let's hope development continues and these issues are ironed out (getting access to the APN settings might help to some degree). It's a pretty solid ROM IMO, it's likely not top of mind on Mata as it might be on other devices. Anyway, looking forward to more releases.

Paranoid Android Ruby Beta has been released for the PH-1
link: https://build.aospa.co/prerelease/mata/pa-ruby-1-mata-20210515-alpha.zip

- Mobile network settings are still greyed out, but the network connection continues to be stable and correct.
- VoLTE works without the audio bug that plagues Lineage and Lineage based roms.
- SMS is sending and receiving.
- WiFi calling is not accessible.

- SafetyNet passes right away; no need for SafetyNet-Fix or Magisk.
- June 5, 2021 Security Update
- Fingerprint works for unlocking the phone and app login.
- Face Unlock works.

- "Hey Google" works.
- Chrome has been working without any problems.
- Google Pay works.
- Banking apps work (only tested mine, which are US)

Essential Camera still crashes, but I just ignore it and use Camera Go or Parrot043 version 8.2.204.

Although the PA team is taking its time to finally release Android 11 Ruby, this beta build is (for my needs) easily the best of the available roms that officially support the PH-1.
Thanks for sharing, mate! The ROM does indeed work well, the only issue for me is mobile data is not working :(
I did a clean flash (except internal) from PA5. I also tried flashing PA5 again (data works on that, changed network mode to global since I'm in NL), and dirty flashed Ruby on top, the flashing worked, and there weren't any issues, but data was still not working. Any idea, how I can make this work? I prefer Ruby to PA5

Otherwise, could you please recommend any other Android 11 based ROM, that doesn't have in call mic issues (while on loudspeaker or otherwise)?

I had the same issue until I made a change to the APN (without root). Since the settings are grayed out adb isn't an option, though I had success with addapn;

Thanks, will try it out if I go back to this ROM, I just flashed Statix 4.2 (03-10) build for now, and it seems quite stable.

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.

On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.

Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

    Notice

As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 5 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.

We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

But, I saw people saying that the touch doesn't work in TWRP. Do you think I can sideload in case the touch doesn't work?

Correct. Touch in TWRP didn't work for me. However, on the Essential Development Telegram (https://t.me/EssentialPH1DEV) group you can find a TWRP image (boottwrp.img) that does have functional touch. I used that for my initial boot into TWRP and then flash the OFFICIAL TWRP zip as part of my flashing procedure. Touch does work for me now. Hopefully that helps some folks.

Flashed a while back, spent a good while sorting out some stuff after it bootlooped. Leaving that here in case it helps someone else:

Haven't run it for more than a few hours so can't comment on performance/battery life. Magisk doesn't pass SafetyNet so no GPay. Netflix also doesn't show up on the Play Store - I sideloaded the APK with APKMirror's app and it seems to work for me. Will test out battery life and Google Camera down the line and update the post. Hope this helps someone!

Thank you. Did you notice there's a ASOP firmware/vendor available from Essential now? "Vendor (AOSP) Release | Q 10 - QQ1A.200105.088" over at https://www.essential.com/developer/current-builds
Yes, I am aware. However, that vendor image is not compatible with this current beta. You want to use Essential's stock vendor from the February factory image.
