It is working for me too. I am using MGC_8.1.101_A9_PV0i_MGC.apk from https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/f/dl1/ and I even tried video with the wide lens and it works, which wasn't working with 7.3 GCams. But don't try to use 0.9 Lens options because aren't working and force crash. I have a Redmi NOte 8T (Willow EU)

Is anyone experiencing shutdowns or reboots with this rom? I'm on willow. Might have done something wrong on the install but I don't know what.

Sometimes I lose signal and I have to reboot the phone in order to make calls and use internet. And when the phone becomes hot (sun exposure) the screen goes black and takes a couple of minutes to turn on again.

I had random reboots but it was related to Swift Installer if you know this customisation app. After I had disabled every skin from swift and uninstalled haven't had any reboots more. Hope it helps

Thank you for your answer but this is not installed on mine, unless I'm missing something

I cannot backup.
I know my device is not encrypted because twrp do not ask for pin. When i reboot device dont ask pin as well.

Please help how to backup

Works For Me. I did install the latest (then) Global firmware, though... fw_willow_miui_WILLOWEEAGlobal_V12.0.2.0.QCXEUXM_7dd8399736_10.0.zip

It's encrypted, your recovery isn't asking because it cannot get the key out of it to ask for.

Reboot to system, go to settings>security and note that it does say encrypted.

I'm using the settings to build a recovery for it, It might work, it might not, I'll PM you a link when it's done within a few days, should be OK for a backup at the very least.

    We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Ruby, based on Android 11.

    On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.

    Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

    Requirements

    Ginkgo users: Make sure you're on latest available 11.0 China Beta firmware before flashing the ROM.
    Willow users: Make sure you're on latest available 10.0 Stable firmware before flashing the ROM.

    Some FAQs
    Q: Should I clean flash over Alpha 1?
    A: Recommended, but not mandatory.

    Q: Is 48MP, portrait etc working in MIUI Camera?
    A: Hell Yeah.

    Q: How can I disable encryption?
    A: Flash DFE after ROM

    Q: I'm encrypted and now recovery can't read my internal storage. Help!
    A: This is normal, because existing recoveries don''t support FBE_v2 which is introduced in Android 11.

    Q: SafetyNet passes without magisk?
    A: Yes.

    On a side note, widevine L1 may be broken on willow (Note 8T) as it's still on Android 10 firmware. I will probably make a flashable zip to downgrade widevine HAL for willow to fix L1.

    If you have bugs, report them to the dev with logs etc. and contribute to make the rom bug-free.
    If you don't want to contribute, use it as it is and say at least thanks to the dev who provided his work freely here on XDA:) The dev owes you absolutely nothing and you're not his customer cause you did not pay him.

    I recommend to read the FORUM RULES especially those:


    2.1 Language: XDA is a worldwide community. As a result, what may be OK to say in your part of the world, may not be OK elsewhere.     This is a production/user build and SELinux is enforcing.

    It is completely based off CAF tags LA.UM.9.11.r1-02600-NICOBAR.0 (vendor) and LA.QSSI.11.0.r1-09600-qssi.0 (system), and has been updated completely to R. The usage of stock vendor/blobs is only for camera, audio and sensors and not anything else.

    Keep in mind since this is a beta, bugs other than the ones listed above may be present. Feel free to report them to me with proper logcat.

    If what he's saying is true, root the ROM with magisk, open /vendor/build.prop in a text editor, find the line vendor.audio.feature.compr_voip.enable=true, change true to false, save and reboot. Let me know if that solves your issue (or breaks something else).
