I'm trying to install the rom on 8T but when I try to flash it using fastboot i get partition not found on the system.img and it stops the installation. Any one has an idea how to fix this ?

Are Gapps included in Alpha2? I know they usually aren't, but I see most Android 12 ROM's have them preloaded.

Otherwise, which one do you guys recommend for 12?

Sony Xperia Z2
noticed (alpha 2) :
1- screen flashes once rapidly after the last touch, showing refresh rate indicate that it drops to 60-120 quickly after the last touch.
2- unlocking from AOD after a while (after fps droping to 60) using FOD doesn't work and it says "Hold it longer", double tap make it work, and turning screen off and press FOD works. (nightlight is off)
3- Getting closer to Proxy-meter activate the "pocket mode is on" it also happens after fps drops, and the DT2W won't work then (FOD too). either pocket mode on/off.
4- using FOD flashes the screen. and its relatively slow.
5- can't give access to application with popup windows, night light and dark mode are off.
6- Lock screen stutters sometimes.
7- Fast charge works.

Being out of the whole custom rom life for years so excuse the dumb question but can you just fastboot flash this rom from the bootloader without TWRP or rooting, i.e., directly from a standard OS11? Thanks

Does this ROM have any controls for 5g connectivity? In ROMs with OnePlus settings, you can force it to connect SA or NSA. I work at a place with solid (but VERY SLOW) LTE and flaky 5G at areas, so I need to force my phone to use NSA 5G to prevent call drops.

Many thanks to OP for working on this. This ROM is awesome.

One suggestion:

If you want to include YouTube as a system app in the ROM, switch to YouTube Vanced instead. It's vastly superior to the YouTube app. You may include the updater app along with it. IMHO there's no need to include any YouTube app with the ROM, but that's merely my opinion.

One question: is OTA update support planned sometime down the line? I would love to give this ROM a try, loved Paranoid on my old Oneplus 3T.
I'd just like to avoid having to wipe everything off my phone regularly.

Hi all. I unlocked my bootloader and then used the adb tools in windows to install this rom. I like it, but now realize I would like to root the phone as well, using Magisk for instance. Is it safe to install Magisk at this point, or do I need to go back to the stock rom first? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Ah. No idea what the problem is then.
    Sounds weird.

Yes. Safetynet passes without root so banking and Google pay works, and Netflix is available with widevine L1.
How did you get Widevine L1?
Any specific step to keep this?

    Edit: Problem solved
Can anyone help with this issue please. OnePlus 8, came from Oxygen OS 11 NA stable build. 'Fastboot -w' and wiping via recovery doesn't work.View attachment 5637027
As a OnePlus 8 T-Mobile user myself, the best way to install this ROM is to install an Android 12 Custom ROM first, then after installing the A12 ROM reboot to fastboot then fastboot update then you won't have any errors.

We are very excited to announce the alpha of Paranoid Android Sapphire, based on Android 12.

On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.

Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.

We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

    You can donate here

    Device-specific issues
    [*] Ultrawide Camera (OP8T)

There are likely many other issues, these are just the most prominent to me. Don't come into this with the expectation any issue you come across will be fixed in a timely manner.

Make sure you are coming from any Android 11 based OxygenOS build, stable is recommended.

You can always get our Alpha builds from our Telegram Group or directly download them from here:
    OP8 Pro:
(Note, OP8/T & Pro builds are no longer unified)

Note: Custom kernels are not supported unless the kernel says it supports PA and GMS is included!

[1] Download the latest fastboot zip we released (hint: it has an -image appended to zip name)
    [2] Reboot to bootloader.
[3] Flash the fastboot zip with "fastboot update aospa-*"
[4] Reboot into recovery after it is done flashing & wipe userdata.

If you are coming from Alpha 1, you must clean flash due to recent commits related to userdata. If you are coming from Alpha 2 you can dirtyflash it.

If you already flashed Alpha 1 and want to update, then you can just sideload the OTA in recovery if it is avaliable, although there might be only fastboot images up for the latest version so keep that in mind.

Please make sure to wipe userdata if you are coming from ALPHA 1!

I would also like to welcome OP8T to the party.
Everything besides ultrawide camera seems to be in line with OP8/OP8Pro, feel free to let me know if I missed something.

    * 5G is fixed now
    * WFD is fixed now

Download link is still the same AFH folder. Mirrors on Google Drive can be found below.
Alright guys, Sapphire Alpha 3 is out and ready to download!
But sadly I got some bad news for you all with this release, I won't be able to continue OP8 builds anymore as my OP8 Pro got stolen recently. We will discuss in our team who will take care of the builds from now on.

OP9R Is now also in a part of the party. Since it's a blindbuild based on our 8T sources I can't guarantee it works as flawless as the other builds. Please let us know if there are any issues.

Full changelog will follow some times later. Or maybe never, who knows.

For now you can download the builds from GDrive and Telegram, AFH is still uploading.

    OP8 Pro:

Is feature X working in this rom?
    - If its not mentioned under issues its most likely working.

Does safetynet work on this rom?
    - Yes, safetynet works out of the box and doesnt require any additional modules or hacks.

    My wireless display doest work.
    - WFD is currently completly removed in my builds because it crashes anyway with the old blobs.

I notice some screen flicker on dark backgrounds.
    - That's normal, for some reason 60 and 90/120Hz dont have the same colors and you can see it change when smooth display is enabled and it switches between normal and high refresh rate.

My phone goes randomly into crashdump mode.
    - Simply disable 5G in settings, for some reason there are carriers that dont properly work right now.
