One question: is OTA update support planned sometime down the line? I would love to give this ROM a try, loved Paranoid on my old Oneplus 3T.
I'd just like to avoid having to wipe everything off my phone regularly.

OTA and the full wipe requirement are separate issues. Once it comes out of alpha a simple dirty flash should be enough to upgrade.

Any help would be appreciated. I am running fully stock android, unlocked bootloader, running instructions as stated on initial post. I keep geting the error "error: failed to load 'aospa-sapphire-2-oneplus8t-alpha-20220118-image.zip': Not enough space

Any suggestions?

I've flashed various A12 roms, but I can't get Aospa 12 to work. OOS freshly preflashed and then in the bootloader fastboot update *file.zip*. Factory reset and reboot and I end up in crash dumb mode. My device is a KB2003.
I've downloaded the build several times and it's always the 8T build.

Has anyone been able to flash the 8T with Aospa?

Yes I have .

Did you have:

• Oos on both slots?
• Are you using the latest fastboot tools? And not something like minimal ADB?
• Are you doing the factory reset from recovery or fastboot?

probably not, means I flashed the OOS11, which can be flashed via the bootloader, and then updated it. After that I tried to flash aospa. Use fastboot 31.0.3

After flashing, it restarts immediately, no chance to reset immediately. after the crash dump I restart and reset, but no success.

But now I know it's possible, so I keep trying. thanks

Sound like you did everything right.

• Updating after oos flash ensures oos on both slots
• You are indeed using the latest platform tools

I think you made the same mistake I made the first time. A little impatience. Mine went into crashdump as well.

When you perform the fastboot update command, the phone reboots to fastbootd during install (red fastboot letters) after the first 2-3 minutes. It looks like it is done, but don't touch it yet!! It is actually still installing. It will say on your PC when it's done. For me it took about 5-10 minutes.

Only perform the factory reset after.

Ah. No idea what the problem is then.
Sounds weird.

Yes. Safetynet passes without root so banking and Google pay works, and Netflix is available with widevine L1.

The rom is amazingi! Unfortunately I just have issues with adding cards to gpay or use digital id apps. Any possible workaround/solution ? Thanks

Nope. Unfortunately I do not have a workaround. As I stated before, for me it worked out of the box.

I read in the paranoid Android telegram group that the build for the 8pro might have been signed with a wrong key, which could cause problems,. But on my 8t everything is pretty much ok.

Just use the latest version available here then update through OTA.

Note : This will relock your bootloader

8 pro hold down volume and plug USB into phone.
That I do it.

I'm on 8T and saw that other people have the same problem. Maybe is due to the device model? I have the global version ddr4

Finally got it restored using msm tool and a really old windows laptop, thanks for the help. Pixel roms just don't have enough functionality compared to oos yet, although very stable

I like this rom so far, 3 main issues.

- Finger print scanner is not very good, half the time doesn't read my finger and sometimes doesn't even try with screen off.

- Screen is sideways when the phone wakes on occasion, it goes back to normal pretty quick

- Developer options just crashes in the "home settings" screen

I need help. I installed the ROM but the SIM wont read and says no sim card installed and it restarts everytime.
