Can I just wipe from my lineage os rom and install? Or should I revert back to stock with unlocked bootloader and then wipe and install?

Idk, but i would say you can wipe from Los and install. Try it, if not you can revert back to stock then

I just flashed over linage and it worked just fine, i downloaded the fastboot option tho

I have a question how can i root this?
i extracted init_boot.img and patched with magisk then flash it via fastboot and every time i get an error
error: cannot load 'magisk_patched-**.img

thats what I did for my pixel 7 on PA. It was working just fine. You flash with 'boot' or 'init_boot'? And check if you are in the same folder as the patched img too.

fastboot flash init_boot patched*.img

I went back to stock then reinstall pa and rooted and it worked, thanks

Better thing to do is tested yourself, but i don't think it'll work to be honest

I've been playing around with the official camera from play store and also some mods but i can't get a decent quality of videos not even in 4k, also photos quality are worse than the videos or photos shot in the stock rom , any idea how to fix this?

Sadly camera quality on any device with a custom rom won't be as good as the camera sources are closed.

Because of that I'll have to go back to stock, but I'm impressed on how smooth and battery efficient this rom is

Still won't use the same stock libraries so quality won't be as good

That's wrong. With pixel phones you don't have this problem

Yes you can. I was using a lot of roms on my p6p and can tell you from my and also others experience there is no difference in quality.

Thats what I want to know before flashing.
I never flashed amother rom since Pixel 4XL. What's the benefit of the rom compared to stock?

So far no, but I think that all the ROMs so far do not work until the root

This is what I am curious of as well. I would try it out, however, there are a few features that may go missing that I can't easily live without. Those features would be:

- Now Playing (which I know could be added manually - so no worries there)
- Visual Voicemail
- Call & Text Screening
- Camera/Video Quality (which I see has been discussed with mixed statements in the comments)

- Lastly, I would be curious to see if there is an alternative variant with 64bit only GApps so that they would all work on the P7P version of the phone - as I saw one comment mentioning that half of the apps weren't working since they were the 32bit versions. I haven't used a custom ROM since the Galaxy Note 3 lol - so I'm no longer aware of which GApps packages are available, haha.

Oh, and also, does the fingerprint scanner work with the phone in 1080P mode? For instance, can I set it up correctly in 1440P mode and then switch back to 1080P mode and still have both the fingerprint scanner and face unlock working correctly?

If I hear anything back about this, I (and a few others) may give the ROM a try in the near future =).
