Format sd card as portable storage first. Reboot, look out for notification in status bar. If still doesn't appear, reinsert sd card. So, a better solution. Because the option to adoptable store don't appear in store settings.

A couple of others have confirmed it working. Root makes no difference.
Can you give a link which oneA couple of others have confirmed it working. Root makes no difference.
I suggest you use a utility to remove the partitions on the card then put it in the device and reboot.
And I already told you that it has been confirmed working.Im specifically talking about samsung device on nougat, seem there unlikely a way around
That card has a fast read, but slow write. What SD card do you have. I have:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00TB8XZOK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
which is supposed to be a fast card, but it was super slow.
Edit 1: Removed because questioner isn't willing.
Edit 2: Addendum:
I'm going to try this on a Tab S3 once I can find the appropriate card for it.
Edit 3:
That card has a fast read, but slow write.
You might want to see some data of fast cards. UHS-1 U3 would be a faster card than a UHS-1 U1, however, it also helps to have data since not all cards have the same controller (so even a U3 card can potentially be slow). Here are some benchmarks for some fast cards. Ideally for adoptable storage, you'd want a card with equally fast read and write. Cards are typically marketed by fastest sequential read, few can actually give what they advertise (and fewer can have it both ways).
Don't go by reviews. Go by reviews that show actual data.
thats exactly point, to enable the sd card as internal on tab s3, i tried couple of way, with ADB and what not, but didnt success, tell me you'd succeed
Have you tried the workarounds listed on this thread?
I don't have an S3 just yet so can't tell you, though I'll try this patch also when I do. Cheers!
Seriously!
It doesn't work or didn't work(until I released this patch) on all Samsung devices. It also requires a rooted device.Sorry to post this whole thread again, but an easier way for beginners is to use the Root Essentials tool in the Google Play Store.
The link for the Root Essentials application.
I have personally used this on my own Samsung Device which runs on Marshmallow so far.
Here's the flow:Sorry if I have spammed your threads by reposting what you have already said or stuff you have released, but I have tried the Root Essentials method on about ten Samsung Devices. It does require a rooted device which is actually true. But flashing a device will require a custom recovery because Samsung Stock Recoveries cannot actually process these flash files by itself. So, one way or another, you will have a custom firmware running even though you just want to have adoptable storage.
So you're saying Samsung are now including adoptable storage as standard?
