I recently learnt programing and started android app development. Very enthusiastically I bought an honor play device and what I learn now is that the Bootloader cannot be unlocked because these pathetic people have decided not to let people unlock their devices... why because they put a spy chip and software in their device and don't want us to block traffic for it and their pathetic ads!!

Never buy honor again
Following are the tweets I made to honor today!

When someone buys a device it's theirs'. They decide what to do with it! What rights do you have to prevent someone from doing what they want to do with their phones. Let people unlock their bootloaders.

I hope it makes some sense to them...

what do you have to say about it? Do you agree?

Respect people only until they are worthy of it!

At least, learn to show little respect even when things aren't right or good about their products. The right approach in addressing such complain is to be civil about it.
I did in the beginning...

Following was my communication with these retards...
I was being very respectful but stupid coercive Chinese people are going to bear the burnt of their actions soon!

being a developer I find it difficult to integrate app in the system making it resistant to formatting. Pls provide me the bootloader code. Thanks and Regards.

Hi.. As discussed over the phone I Visited the akshay service center at kalyan. Unfortunately the centre closed down a month ago. I am quite fed up of visiting every single location. Kindly possibly send me the code itself by mail or message. The said akshay center was taken over by ashtavinayak service as per info available.
Rohit Dhamal

Hello, can we reach a solution please? My development is completely stalled due to the bootloader issue.
Honor India

@dhamalRohit As per the telephonic conversation we have addressed your concern. We have raised the complaint with this (SR220190128112952400) complaint number. Kindly wait for some time our relevant team will contact you soon.

Thank you very much for your support. I will definitely visit the service center ASAP. Thanks once again.
Rohit Dhamal

Hello,
My hardships do not seem to end. The honor service center people asked me to keep back my phone with them for a day for a procedure of less than 5 min.
Why can't they just hand me over the code and finish off in 5 seconds? My development has stalled and the student group involved in the project will get a memo for delays in work. Pls resolve the issue.

It's funny how people think that just because they pay the money they can do whatever they want. Big companies lock their bootloaders it raise huge amounts of security concerns. A primary one being the wrong people being able to change their imei numbers with a rooted device. I'm pretty sure you might need the code for good reasons but there are thousands more who would use it for all the wrong reasons. In which case the company clearly reserves the right of whether or not to provide the codes.

Wow there is a lot of cr*p here. If you BUY a product, you should be allowed to use it AS IT SUITS YOU.

- Imagine buying a car, with the company refusing you to go in a different garage than theirs. You can't put new tires, can't change the oil or can't refuel without their consent.
- When you ask why, they respond it is for security measures : you could install unauthorized parts, change the serial number... All presenting security issues.
- When you say you bought that car, that it belongs to you ; they respond they made it. It belong to the them. You are merely a user.

Do you see where I'm getting to? You are deliberatetly lying to us, presenting theses arguments ; or worse, you believe them and you should seriously reconsider your opinions.

The truth is : they don't want you to unlock the bootloader, to root your phone, because you will make them lose a loooooot of money in ad, product placement...
They spy, yes. As everyone else does. Sony do. Samsung do. Apple do.

Excuse me if I will hurt somebody's feelings.
I read this topic periodically and feel like now I should make a point.

If you have bought a phone with an unlockable bootloader and suffering now. Your'e kind of idiot just because of one thing. There's an official statement from Huawei regarding this topic. Google it first. buy second.
And if you would think that any IT company should let you do anything with the product you've bought then I feel sorry for you cause you're wrong. When you buy a phone you buy a thing with listed specifications:
-wi-fi, voice calls, battery capacity, android X OS, etc

If the feature is listed and you can't use it cause it has been restricted to you for any cause then it is total **** up from manufacturer. But if it is an optional like bootloader unlock or voice recording then you shouldnt be so angry. Cause before buy you have to make sure that the thing fits you.

Security reasons thing... I dont have exact numbers but I'm pretty sure that there are so few people use unlocked bootloader among ALL smartphone users community so companies not worried aboud loosing money on ads, apps, etc.
The real security reason is to avoid revers engineering of their software. And they can do it cause it's their right to protect their intellectual property.

P.S
Yeah, I feel sad too cause I can't unlock my phone and decompile system apps and making some changes in system software. But... My phone is great for the money I spend on it. It works as it should. And I don't regret buying it at all

So.. Supposedly you own a ferrari then You do realize that if you take your car to some xyz workshop and he replaces parts for some cheaper ones and screw with you engine or put the wrong oil in your ferrari then the car will die out on you? And that that's why the ferrari always asks you to service your car at authorised service centers? What I want you to understand is that you are free to find the codes yourself, if you make your fone explode by doing experiments on it then that's on you. And as for changing Tyres of a car, man that's like changing the cover of a fone because it's worn out, you are free to do that too and anything else you want to do with your device, just don't expect the company to help you do it and don't bad mouth the company for that. I honestly love my honor play, it is everything that I expected it to be except of course low light pictures but I can live with that because I don't click much pictures anyway in low light. Every fone will have something less, there is no such thing as perfect fone, the question is whether you can live with that or not and if can't then do your research and buy what you need. If you have already bought it then sell it to someone who doesn't care about bootloader unlocking and all. Simple. Peace out.

Like, man, Huawei is possibly the worst choice of phone for experimenting with ROMs and rooting. There are many other root friendly brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus etc.

I think Honor should be more particular about updates if they want to keep their bootloader locked. Its not possible for people to purchase a new device every year. They also sometimes ruined their camera to push customers to buy new phones ex Honor 6x and Honor Play

I agree that refusing giving unlock codes has many disadvantages, but I think Huawei may want to protect its technology. For example, they surely don't want you know how GPU TURBO and Ark Compiler work.
