PC Odin- some clarifications

In spite of com port becomes yellow, proper check boxes ticked, files are correctly placed, why sometimes flashing go wrong? I know device to device, pc to pc things may differ. But still what could be reasons? Is there any way to ensure before flashing?
When I was flashing different ics roms, I used to go gb via PC Odin 1.85 frequently and successfully. Once I flashed some rom ( I don't remember) via PC Odin 1.87, I got blue color instead of usual green color success. Nevertheless things went ok. But it gave me worries.
Edit : since then I flash via cwm.

Oh Yeah.. if you are using the later version of odin like 3.04.. then Blue indicate RESET

No. After that I didn't try any other rom via PC Odin. All via cwm.

usually RESET (blue) is the status that comes just after it turns PASS (green).. So it should not stay ideally at RESET. but it usually comes after the flashing is successful so i think need not to worry
