Performance mod for custom roms

Guys now you can play PUBG or any other heavy game on custom ROMs without frame drops.
Follow the following simple steps and unleash the power of POCO on any custom ROM ..
Here we go..
1. Download the file version 1.5 from here- https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1-0v5MFoPA8UpPPZJ_x3iF38vt0scZJAn
2. Extract the file in /sdcard or /storage/emulated/0 (strictly follow this step otherwise the scripts won't work)
3. Download this script manager from play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=os.tools.scriptmanager
4. Open the script manager and go into THERMALCONTROL folder.
5. There you will find two scripts- mod.sh and demod.sh
6. Select any one of them and choose 'Su' before running the script.
7. Finally click run and everything will be done automatically.

*Delete the file named thermal-engine-sdm845-e10-india.conf from /vendor/etc before using these scripts.

*Run mod.sh script before starting PUBG or any heavy task.
*Run demod.sh script after you are fed up with PUBG or completed the task.
*No reboots required


Note:- extract the zip into /sdcard or /storage/emulated/0 only other wise the scripts won't work.

*Tested on LOS 16 but should work on any custom ROM .


I opened this thread to share this mod with people who want better performance on custom ROMs (as they are not well optimised for our device yet).

No.... thermal protection will be still there but will not be that strict..

Pretty sure the 2 pictures you have there are comparing the scores with fsync on and off. I have tested this on my poco and see a negative result instead. Speeds drop and start to throttle earlier resulting in worse performance. Could you send your evidence which proves that this actually works? Thanks

I have found same disappointing results on pubg. frame drops. why the heck i bought this phone. sd 845 is a joke on poco f1

its saying "no such file or directory"

You did not follow the install instructions, anyway pubg seems to run perfectly fine at 60fps on my poco. What kernel are you on?

Not OK.. The configs were not applied... Will test it myself on miui and give update... Did you choose su before running the script?? btw problem is not bcz of that.
